We are revelling in tones of blush and red today with this moody Valentines Day Inspiration shoot that inspired a deeper, more dramatic take on the traditional Valentines red, white and pink vibes.
With photographer Zeus Productions behind the camera, and Killa Kreative on film, stylist Lana of Honey Lane pulled together a dream team at the industrial, clean slate space of The Commune. With two distinct looks in mind, floral designer Sweet Pea and Honey Bee created lush long floral garlands that draped down long tables, (surrounded by brass and velvet chairs from Harry the Hirer and Decorative Events) that combined roses and orchids in shades of pinks, peach and purple. The tablescapes were dotted with interesting crockery and brass candlesticks, accenting the brass flatware from Pretty Pedestals and pretty linens from Opulent Events and modern white acrylic place cards by Bark & Bite and alternative to usual paper treats.
A bright, jewel-toned cake by Quincy Lane glimmered on a golden cake stand, decadent details of a floral adorned marble bar and simple, floral backdrop for the ceremony tying the looks together.
Our models, Ksenia A & Levi Neufeld were styled with hair and makeup by Ash Quinn and dressed in a gown by Moira Hughes Bridal Couture and suiting from Wil Valor. Touches of velvet and soft tulle adding to the modern vibes.
Stylist Lana telling of the inspiration “For this shoot, we wanted to create a luxe and modern vibe which was rich in colour, whilst also having a sense of romance through the laying of textures and materials.
The choice of venue was very important to us as we wanted to juxtapose the beautify of the shoot against a raw and industrial backdrop to give the shoot interest and add a sense of drama.”
Pretty! This has been an incredibly wonderful
post. Thanks for providing these details.
