I love that the inspiration behind today’s shoot actually came from the landscape itself. These stunning sunset country wedding ideas practically glow with gold – what better colour palette to play with than stunning tones of reds, oranges and golden yellows?

Photographer Kate Drennan teamed up with makeup artist Cat of Cat Elizabeth Artistry. Cat explains, “My family property has the most amazing view out over Perth and lots of great little micro-locations – like pampas grass, a dam, pear trees lining an orange gravel road, rock walls, sprawling grass and an olive grove! I love the colour palette up there especially as the sun sets – it’s stunning.”

With model Savannah Monk dressed in a champagne Loui Col gown paired with dramatic, smokey metallic makeup by Cat Elizabeth Artistry and a loose updo by Kayla Marshall, the colours of the sunset were able to take centre stage. Not least with a stunning bouquet styled by The Black Posy. Long ribbons cascading to the ground, bound together blooms of white, reds and oranges, which complemented the country backdrop.
