Once you’ve booked your dream honeymoon destination and have those airline tickets in your pocket, the next job is writing a long list of all the places you’d like to go! If you’re heading to Paris, you may be interested solely in the food, or perhaps you’ll be planning on getting up the Eiffel Tower as quickly as you can. The Fondation Cartier is home to and vigorous supporter of all forms of contemporary art. This artwork is housed in a stunning building designed by architect Jean Nouvel, for those architecture buffs. Providing exhibitions based on both individual artists and commissioned artists, the gallery also houses and supports the performing arts. Have a wander through the current artworks and through to The Garden for an all encompassing experience.

Located in the gorgeous Tuileries Gardens, the Musee de l’Orangerie can not be missed! You may be lured in by the promise of Monet’s Water Lilies murals, however the gallery also houses artworks by Matisse, Picasso and Sisley, and there is plenty to fall in love with. Monet’s work is absolutely breathtaking, and hours can pass whilst wandering the specially designed rooms. The surrounding gardens are perfect for a baguette and coffee too, offering a spectacular day out! If you’re seeking more of Monet’s masterpieces, head to the Musee Marmottan Monet, which houses the largest collection of his works in the world.

Set amongst beautiful gardens, the Musee Rodin features thousands of the artist’s spectacular sculptures. As Rodin was a collector as well as an artist, the gallery also houses drawings and photographs, and works by Renoir and Van Gogh. Enjoy wandering through the gardens whilst noting his famous pieces, such as ‘The Thinker’ and ‘The Kiss’. And if all these gorgeous gardens have you hankering for more, head for the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle, specifically the Jardin des Plants.
