Wedding Foliage

What are we swooning about at the moment? Wedding foliage – and more specifically gorgeous greenery! Florals and foliage are an integral part of the ambience, theme and look of a wedding. Nowadays there are so many different types of weddings – think enchanted forest, woodland, rustic barn and beach – and depending on what your ideal wedding day is about, your chosen theme will provide the platform for the greenery, flora and foliage choice.

Here are a few ideas for gorgeous greenery accents that will beautify your reception space:

If your venue has an open flame policy, don’t despair, there are so many stunning lighting options -try copper string lights tucked into upside down glass cannisters, or festoon bulbs draped throughout the greenery above. Even fake tealights inside of the glass bulbs will create a really effective outcome, come dusk.

A round circle garland is a clever (and inexpensive) way to create an effective ceiling piece that looks stunning – it can either be made with (fake or real) greenery, or with twigs for a rustic look and feel.

Hanging Greenery – the look of hanging greenery is simply gorgeous in its look and the natural way in which it falls. You feel as though you are underneath a ceiling of nature and it can also help to reduce the amount of table decorations required.  I love this example below with the inclusion of roses … seriously breath-taking. Who wouldn’t feel romantic under this?!
