Cindy & Lee
Bright colour, plenty of romance and the lush greenery of a winery backdrop sounds like the most beautiful recipe for a wedding and it certainly hit the mark for Cindy and Lee’s Western Australian winery wedding. Anthea Auld was behind the camera for today’s celebration, centred around the newlyweds desire to create a day that was, as bride Cindy remarks “the most enjoyable and memorable wedding for us and everyone who came.”
The groom chose a blue suit by Calibre, his groomsmen wearing grey pants with suspenders from Roger David .
Cindy chose a mermaid-style gown from Dion for Brides. She tells “My dress was lace and was very intricate and delicate. I chose the dress as I fell in love with the beautiful French lace. I felt very emotional putting it on, as it was perfect and I could imagine our wedding day as if it were happening there and then.”
Cindy and lee chose Sandalford Estate for their wedding, the bride explaining “Both the ceremony and reception were held at Sandalford Estate. We both share the love of wine and love the beautiful scenery at Sandalford as well as the reception rooms with walls of wine barrels. Prior to booking Sandalford we had spoken to several people who had been married or attended weddings at Sandalford. All feedback provided had been exceptional. Giving praise to the fantastic service, wedding coordination, food, drinks, and beautiful rooms and surroundings. We weren’t disappointed.”
Cindy walked down the aisle to “Can’t help falling in love” by Ingrid Michaelson.
Shantell Smith officiated the ceremony, Cindy remembering “The ceremony was held on the lawn in front of the lake on Sandalford’s Estate. I was so nervous walking down the aisle as everyone was looking directly at me. My hands didn’t stop shaking until Lee held them in his and was able to calm me. We wrote our own vows to make the wedding feel more personal to our new beginning together.”
Katie Cooper Floral Designs created the lush floral arrangements for the day, says Cindy “Katie Cooper Floral Designs was incredible. Katie’s knowledge of everything wedding, bubbly personality and willingness to help with everything (not just the flowers) made planning the wedding by ourselves easy and fun. My bridesmaid, Carly and I loved going to meetings with her.”
“All of our vendors were amazing. My photographer was perfect and helped me with all the timings and ensuring everything went smoothly, my make up was flawless, my hair was to die for, my celebrant fitted in like she was a friend, and the DJ/MC made the reception fun for all.
I really enjoyed everything when planning the wedding as so many of my vendors, Anthea, Katie, Kristy and Shantell in particular, came to be like my friends going through the fun journey with me and of course making it so easy to plan the big day.”
Reception celebrations were held at Sandalford Estate‘s Oak Room, which was adorned with hanging floral arrangements and masses of fairy lights.
The reception began with plenty of dancing! Cindy explains “Our reception entrance consisted of all our guests standing and stomping their chairs on the floor. After entering the reception as soon as we got to the dance floor the DJ invited everyone to join us in the dance floor for the twist, followed by the conga to our seats. This entrance set the scene for a reception full of laughter, joy and dancing.”
Congratulations Cindy and Lee! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Anthea Auld for sharing today’s gorgeous day!
