Amanda & Adam
A day of simple celebration was on the cards as Amanda and Adam tied the knot in an intimate Bistro Molines wedding. The couple, who chose the beautiful Hunter Valley for their wedding day, were joined by Solas Weddings. They focused on their commitment to each other and joined their guests for a celebration with good food, good wine and plenty of love (and a wee little baby bump!).
On how they met, Amanda tells the story. “Facebook bought us together. Adam saw a photo of me on a mutual friend’s page so arranged to cook dinner and wanted me to be invited along.”
The bride chose a modern strapless gown by Rachel Gilbert, telling “The shopping experience was not how I imagined. I actually found and bought it without my mum and sister as I’d planned. I saw a warehouse sale of Rachel’s dresses and went just ‘to see’ what they were like. Once I tried on the dress, I got really ready and thought it could be the one, but nervous to make the decision alone. The sale ended that day. I called a dear friend to come have a look and give me her opinion. She too cried once she saw it on so that was my answer. A surreal experience! So lucky I have a supportive family who wanted me to be happy beyond being there to decide!”
Amanda and Adam found a privately owned Chevy on the Central Coast that drove them around on the day, Amanda remarking “My Dad built a Chevy many years ago so it was a fun memory to share together when driving to ceremony.”
Amanda walked down the aisle to Train’s “Marry Me”.
Catherine Wells officiated the ceremony, which was held at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, Amanda noting “Our celebrant was more like family than someone we’d only just met. It was short but sweet with our most loved ones in attendance. I was super excited to walk down the aisle and Adam was in tears (cute!). During the ceremony, it felt like Adam and I were the only ones there as we only had eyes for each other.”
Of their photographer for the day, Amanda tells “James is a true professional making the plan for the day effortless, guiding with recommendations and delivering all photos we wanted. James makes a somewhat nervous situation relaxing and we both could rest easy knowing you didn’t need to worry about any details with James. Highly recommend him to any couple.”
Amanda carried special heirloom pieces with her on the day, noting “A beautiful brooch from my grandmother was pinned to my bridal bouquet and I wore a pearl ring from my other grandmother.”
Guests celebrated with a sit-down reception at Bistro Molines. Amanda remembering “Bistro Molines was an outstanding reception location. Everything was perfect – view, food, wine, hospitality and personal. We loved every minute!”
For their first dance, Amanda and Adam chose “Everything” by Michael Buble.
Congratulations on your marriage Amanda and Adam! Thank you for sharing your beautiful day with us! Thank you also to Solas Weddings for sharing today’s celebration!
