Alex & Sam

The beautiful Marino Rocks with their silver, grey tones seemed like the perfect location for Alex and Sam’s moody seaside engagement photos – and add in a stunning sunset? I am mighty glad Subdued Photography was along for the ride to capture Alex and Sam’s moments together by the seaside.

Of their photographer, Alex notes “I have known Amy since primary school and she is one of my best friends. Her photos are so ‘real’ and ‘raw’. She made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera she’s truly got an eye for capturing perfect natural shots which tell an incredible story. I have already locked her in for baby shots when our little one is due in August!!”

On what she loves about Sam, Alex tells “They say opposites attract well it’s definitely true in our love story!!

I love the way Sam listens and supports me with anything I want to do in life. He also brings me back down to earth when my head is running a million miles an hour. We love how we make each other laugh and being able to spend quality time together is important to us, whether that be talking our beautiful dog for a walk or going away either overseas or camping in SA or interstate.”

Alex notes “Marino is so beautiful and peaceful we live very close to this beach and we love taking our dog for a walk down on the rocks. Perfect spot to watch the sunset and eat fish and chips too!!”

Alex and Sam were engaged in beautiful France. “We got engaged on the 7th of September 2017 in Cassis, France, whilst on our 6 week trip in Europe. It was on a morning walk at the end of the pier overlooking the water of this beautiful old fishing town. It was only us there at the time which made it very special. After he proposed we sat down on the rocks overlooking the ocean and polished off a bottle of French champagne!!”
