A showstopping metallic gown is the piece de resistance of the brand new Thurley “Empire” collection.  Inspired by “the women that defined themselves in ancient civilisations to become iconic leaders in male dominated societies” the collection is filled with bold lines exploring a juxtaposition of femininity vs. masculinity and balance.

Stunning metallics, golds and coppers headline the collection with accents of coffee and citrus zest, sitting beautifully alongside deep, emerald green. The classic pieces in black and white complementing the colour beautifully (and working as quite stunning bridal pieces).

The Thurley design team has worked on unexpected compositions for the “Empire” collection. Tulle, organza and scuba fabrics were bonded with the delicacy of laces, embroidery and silk, The pieces turning into something that is not only beautifully feminine but strong, bold and modern.

Cold shoulder silhouettes, bell sleeves and peplums added to the new season’s silhouettes but in unique ways – lurex yarns add glitter, sheer peplums evoke armour as they wrap beautifully around the body, and off the shoulder silhouettes contrasted with vintage style hemlines.
