Erin & Craig
Misty rain on the mountaintops is one of my favourite things and the romantic mountaintop wedding of Erin and Craig was nothing if not utterly beautiful. Misty rain, stunning floral arrangements and a beautiful love story right at the heart of it all, the newlyweds, who met eleven years prior at a friend’s bonfire party, chose Heart and Colour to capture their wedding day.
The bride chose an elegant long sleeve wedding gown from Sarah Seven from The Bridal Atelier. Erin nothing “It took me six months to find the perfect dress before I found it on a trip to Melbourne.”
Green and Bloom created beautiful floral arrangements of pink and white, Erin noting “All of our vendors were incredible. My favourite part of wedding planning was choosing the floral design. The jasmine included in the floral design was a very sentimental inclusion on the day. It was a reminder of my Grandma who actually passed a few days before the wedding.”
Erin and Craig chose O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat for their wedding, noting “We chose this venue because of the unbelievable look out where our ceremony was held. The view is of the Canungra valley, the place where both Craig and I grew up.”
The bride walked down the aisle to Wagner’s bridal chorus.
Father John Chew do officiated the ceremony, Erin telling “We had a Catholic ceremony performed by Father John from the Beaudesert Catholic Parish, with a Reading from the first letter of St Paul to the Corinthians 12:31 – 13:8 and Prayer of the Faithful.”
Erin remembers “Our ceremony was cut short because of rain and strong winds at the lookout. I guess that’s the risk you take with an outdoor wedding. It certainly made our day a memorable one and we wouldn’t change a thing.”
Of their photographers, Erin remarks “Bek and Phil from Heart and Colour are amazing and did not disappoint. They were such a pleasure to have around on our day and they captured it so beautifully.”
Reception celebrations began inside where it was dry and warm. Erin tells “We loved the delicious food and drinks and live music and dancing at the reception”.
“It was all special to us! From the live band, flowers, delicious food, the amazing views. Most importantly we were surrounded by our beloved friends and family.”
Of their first dance, Erin remembers “We danced to Let’s Stay Together by Al Green. We actually left the choice of the first song up to the band and it was so perfect.”
Congratulations on tying the knot Erin & Craig! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Heart and Colour for sharing today’s celebration!
