Annete & Michael
We love an intimate wedding at Polka Dot Bride and the romance of Annete and Michael’s elopement- which had only 11 family members present in this gorgeous mountaintop location, is nothing short of romantic. Working with Peppermint Photography , this Sunday morning turned into the most magic of days.
Michael and Annete tell the story of how they came to be – at a friend’s BBQ celebration! Michael starting off with “Annete turned up with a six pack of my favourite beer, and the rest is history”. Annete adds “I only turned up with that particular beer because I Instagram stalked him and saw a picture of him drinking it. At the time he thought I was a psychic beer goddess. We still laugh about it”.”
The bride chose a long sleeve lace gown from Miss Savage.
The couple chose to meet before the ceremony for photographs.
Secrets on the Lake was chosen for the wedding, the bride remarking, “It was just gorgeous, It was the most beautiful and tranquil place.”
Willow Bud Flowers created the beautiful floral arrangements for the day – including a crown for the bride.
Heart 2 Heart Ceremonies officiated the ceremony which included a handfasting, the bride remembering, “We would not consider our wedding to be traditional at all, which is just the way we wanted it. I found Marlee on the internet and she does a lot of alternate ceremonies and she was fantastic. She had actually done a ceremony for another couple at midnight on the night of a new moon which we thought was pretty cool.” Michael adding “We had a hand-fasting ceremony as opposed to an exchanging of rings. No cake, no speeches and no wedding dance. We chose to keep it all very simple”.
Of their day, Annete notes “I loved every minute. I wish we could go back and do it again.”
Congratulations on your marriage Annete and Michael! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Peppermint Photography for sharing today’s celebration.
I too want the same type of wedding with my partner as that of Annete and Michael. It looks too magical and intimate. Congratulations to the beautiful couple and big thanks for sharing your special moments here.
The black and white photos of this photographer are amazing , also love the flower head lei it reminds me of the “Haku” head lei that many bride wear in Hawaii for their wedding too .
