Krystyna & Hooman
The inclusion of traditions on your wedding day is a sure fire way to create a unique, personal and memorable day, both for you and your loved ones. This is exactly what Krystyna and Hooman wanted for their day, and the results were lovely and special – so very them! Adding a touch of gorgeous, bright colour to their stunning elegant hinterland wedding created an element of fun to their day, and the colour popped against the lush backdrop of the Maleny countryside. Gold Hat Photography was on hand to capture their moments.
Of her gorgeous wedding gown from Essense of Australia, Krystyna says, “I was looking for a summer lace dress in ivory, and discovered my dress first online. I knew immediately that this would be the dress for my wedding day! When trying it on in the shop, it was only confirmed. To be totally sure, I had tried a couple of others, but I always fell back to my first choice!”
As it was a summer wedding on the Sunshine Coast, groom Hooman chose charcoal grey pants with navy waistcoats for him and his groomsmen from Hugo Boss. The groom wore an ivory tie to match his bride, while the groomsmen wore orange ties to match the bridesmaids, who absolutely popped in their coral orange dresses by 4Bridesmaids.
The couple chose Maleny Manor for both the ceremony and reception, as they found the location and scenery absolutely stunning! The property boasts a beautiful white manor house, small vineyard, man-made lake, and a perfect pavilion for ceremonies, overlooking a pristine, private estate. And the bride couldn’t say enough about how amazing the staff and venue were! “Maleny Manor stood out the most in the process. The staff were supportive and helpful from the first enquiry until the big day. On the actual day they gave me a dedicated staff member to look after me throughout the day and night. Having the secluded and private venue for the ceremony and reception gave the wedding a very relaxed flair.”
The bride walked down the aisle to Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years”,played and sung by our guitarist Will Briskey. The wooden board for the page boy to carry before the bride appeared was a surprise for the groom and a DIY project!
“We wanted the ceremony to be fun, relaxed and friendly, with a nice summer vibe among our beloved family and friends. We chose celebrant Jarrad Bayliss to create a joyful and laid back environment. We added some German and Persian traditions to the otherwise modern ceremony. Persian traditions were honey dipping & sugar rubbing, and the German traditions were cutting out a heart shape from a sheet for the groom to carry the bride through, and the sawing of a log after the ceremony.”
The bouquets for the bride and her bridesmaids, and the button holes for the groom and groomsmen were created by the bride the night before with fresh flowers from Suncoast Flowers.
Of their photographer, Gold Hat Photography, the bride remarks, “Mark is a friend of mine, and shoots weddings all over the world. I have been a big fan of his work and his ability to capture the moment. We chose him because of the friendship, and how much care and effort he would put into our special day.”
Their beautiful wedding video was filmed by Peter Teys.
Congratulations Krystyna and Hooman! And thank you to Gold Hat Photography for sharing this lovely wedding with us!
