Jade & Chris
I am so smitten with the vibrant colour palette and relaxed vibe to Jade and Chris’ bright Western Australian beach wedding. it looks like the most beautiful way to spend a Summer day. The couple choosing Aimee Claire Photography to capture the magic of their wedding day.
Jade and Chris tell the story of how they came to connect. “Chris and I knew each other in high school but we were never close. He always had a girlfriend! We hung out with the same people after school and must’ve looked at each other differently then ’cause the rest is history.”
Jade chose her gown from Grace Loves Lace , remarking “I ordered my dress online as I do everything else! Grace Loves Lace made the process really easy. I choose their Madeleine dress as I really wanted something comfortable above all else. It arrived a few weeks before the wedding day and fit perfectly – no alterations needed!”
Jade and Chris chose a beach right in front of their reception venue for their ceremony, noting, “Gnarabup Beach in front of the cafe was perfect for the ceremony as it is quite protected from the wind, and has the amazing cliff face as a backdrop.”
The bride walked down the aisle to “Count On Me” by Bruno Mars.
Jen Burrows officiated the ceremony, Jade noting, “We wanted our ceremony to be fun and inclusive. We had our two beautiful Labrador puppies as part of our bridal party who everyone adored. We both wrote our own vows and answered questions about each other from our celebrant which made for tears and laughter.”
The couple loved having their dogs as a part of their day. “We had to sort some logistics out to get them there and ensure they were looked after. We had some amazing friends who looked after them for us!”
Mable & Grace designed the floral arrangements for the day, the bride noting, “Naandi from Mable & Grace produced the most amazing native bouquets and was so easy to deal with from start to finish.”
Of their photographer, Jade tells, “We met up with Aimee a few months beforehand and it was evident she was going to be great with her carefree nature and nothing being too hard – even our two dogs! We barely noticed she was there on the day, and she has produced the most amazing photos of not only the bridal party but all of our guests as well. We were able to post pictures of everyone at our wedding with their thank you cards which were really appreciated.”
Jade and Chris chose White Elephant Beach Cafe for their reception, Jade remarking, “White Elephant Beach Cafe was amazing! You can’t get a better view being one of the only venues in WA with absolute beach frontage. he canapes from the cafe were amazing. We also had sliders come out at 10pm when everyone was really hungry from all the dancing!”
The couple chose Barefoot Beach Weddings to coordinate their day. “We really wanted to have nothing to worry about before and on the day. It was really nice to have everything taken care of weeks before the wedding.”
“We were so lucky that all of our friends and family travelled to be with us on our wedding day.”
The bride and groom chose “Marry Me” by Train for their first dance.
Congratulations on your marriage Jade and Chris! Thank you for sharing your stories with us! Thank you also to Aimee Claire Photography for sharing today’s celebration!
