Alyce & Scott
The stunning setting of a beautiful venue set the scene for Alyce’s and Scott’s rustic Inglewood Inn wedding. Lucinda May Photography captured the gorgeous garden and forest backdrop which was just the place for Alyce’s and Scott’s special kind of romance.
Alyce tells the story of how they came to be. “We initially were in the same class in primary school, then reconnected years later at the local pub. A friend of mine pushed me into Scott, spilling his drink all over him. I immediately apologised by buying him another drink. His reaction was “that’s ok, your hot!” (so romantic) We got chatting from there.”
The bride chose a lace gown from Red Pearl Couture telling, “My dress was a custom made French lace gown in ivory with a key hole back. The experience was fantastic. Sanela at Red Pearl Couture did a fantastic job right from the beginning. She is very talented!”
Alyce’s bridesmaids wore pale pink dresses from Forever New. The pink and white bouquets were styled by Bella In Bloom.
Alyce walked down the aisle to “Tenerife Sea” by Ed Sheeran.
Deidre May officiated the ceremony, the bride remembering, “Our ceremony was beautiful, it was just how we imagined it. With our close family and friends being there and apart of it made it really special. Our nephew Charlie walked down the aisle first and was held by his dad and best man Lee, which was really cute. We had two readings – one from Scott’s cousin Emma called “I love You” by Deanne Laura Gilbert. The second reading was by our good friend Alaina called “These Are The Hands”.”
Alyce and Scott chose Inglewood Inn for their wedding, remarking, “The Inglewood Inn was a stunning venue for our ceremony and reception. It was perfect for our theme and was lovely to look over the Para River and Adelaide Hills. We loved the historic feel. The whole experience with the Inglewood Inn was fantastic, we couldn’t rate the staff and owners more highly.”
“There was a goat on the property of The Inglewood Inn that escaped from its enclosure to join our guests during pre-dinner drinks on the lawns. The guests had a good laugh and Milly the function co-ordinator got him safely back into his enclosure. (We had enough time for a quick photo with him!).”
