Steph & Justin
Steph and Justin’s romantic Stillwater At Crittenden Estate wedding is such a beautiful occasion. The venue, with it’s beautiful rows of vines, shimmering lake and wide open spaces is the most beautiful backdrop for a wedding day and Perla Photography captured it in all of its beauty.
Steph reminisces on the story of how she and Justin met. “Justin can’t even remember the first time we met, but I secretly had a crush. We were at my friend Zoe’s house who just happens to be Justin’s cousin. Lets just say I looked completely different during my awkward teenage years. A few years later we were reunited at Zoe’s birthday – a party Justin had never intended on coming to. That was until a friend sent him a message saying that a hot chick (me) had just walked in. Hours later Justin finally worked up the courage to speak to me and ask me on a date. The next day we went to the movies and we have been smitten ever since.”
The couple chose a simple stationery suite from Minted.
The Bloom Room Of Mornington created the rose bouquets and floral arrangements for the day, Steph remarking, “Val from the Bloom Room in Mornington was lovely and she did a fantastic job at putting all of the flowers together. She even came on site to set everything up for me.”
Steph chose the Panola by Pronovias from Raffaele Ciuca Bridal, noting, “I had my heart set on a backless wedding dress. But it was just so hard to envision as the dress boutiques didn’t stock my size and they just didn’t look right with clips everywhere. I fell in love with my dress (Panola by Pronovias/Le Sposa mullet dress) from the moment I tried it on. It fit my body perfectly and had beautiful lace detailing. But it wasn’t backless. After months of searching, I finally came back to Panola and fell in love all over again.”
Steph and Justin held their ceremony and reception at Stillwater at Crittenden Estate, noting, “The whole wedding was situated at Crittenden Estate. I had stayed the night with my bridesmaids in the boutique lakeside villas so it was less stress for me on the day. We then had our ceremony in front of the lake and our reception inside the restaurant. The venue really made the day. Not only is the setting beautiful but the food is amazing and the staff are so lovely.”
Steph walked down the aisle to the Twilight acoustic version of Heaven by DJ Sammy.
Carol Campbell officiated the ceremony, Steph telling, “We wanted a ceremony that was relaxed, short and sweet. We were both so nervous and we aren’t very ‘lovey’ people.”
Of their photographer, Steph remarks, “Laura from Perla Photography was absolutely amazing. Not only is she a beautiful person but her photos are just stunning. People are still raving about how much they loved the photos!”
Peninsula Cake Art created an ivory adorned wedding cake.
Guests were gifted jars of homemade jam from Little Bow Thief.
For their first dance, Steph and Justin chose “Long time by John De Sohn. I really love acoustic music and the first time we both heard the song we just knew it would be perfect.”
Congratulations Steph and Justin! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! Thank you also to Perla Photography for sharing today’s wedding.
