Amanda & Lee
Amanda and Lee’s wedding day can be described as nothing but a modern country industrial wedding. Glittering black gowns, amazing trailing bouquets of white blooms, gold sparkle and beautiful photographs by It’s Beautiful Here.
Amanda tells the tale of how they met. “We were 18 and 21 when we met through friends and though Lee was actually already taken – our chemistry was undeniable and it led to a strong friendship and a deep first love which we never recovered from”
Amanda wore a gown from Lurelly, telling, “I chose a very simple dress that I brought online, I struggled to find an understated gown at any boutiques that I really felt reflected my style.” Her bridesmaids wore black dresses from Manning Cartell and Bariano.
Amanda and Lee met before the ceremony, the bride recalling, “We did a first look with our bridal party and the girls from It’s Beautiful Here choose such perfect locations.
We initially wanted to do a first look for the convenience of having bridal party photos done prior to the event but what we didn’t expect was how special of a moment it really was and one that we shared only with our close friends. I’m so happy we choose to do this as we were free to kiss, laugh and cry together before the formalities.”
Casablanca Wedding Flowers styled the incredible floral arrangements for the day.
Of their photographers, Amanda says, “I can not rave enough about Kat and Scout! They were fun to have included in our day while also they’re unobtrusive style enabled us to be natural and just enjoy the day which gave us stunning photographs of special moments shared rather than forced or posed images. They are so talented.”
Amanda and Lee were married at Red Hill Epicurean. Amanda remembering, “The Red Hill Epicurean was our perfect venue, inside it is really beautiful with an atrium roof, 3 huge open fireplaces and trendy décor – not to mention that superb food! The people at the Epicurean did a wonderful job catering to a completely vegan wedding! What really made it special for us was the neon duck at the end of the aisle, a quirky touch that gave our ceremony a casual edgy atmosphere which was exactly what we were after!”
Amanda added a veil over her gold garland by Jennifer Behr for the ceremony.
The couple chose Sylvan Esso – Coffee for the processional.
Mrs Jones Wedding Celebrant officiated the ceremony, Amanda telling, “Our ceremony was my favourite part of the wedding and I love the song we played for the processional as it really reflected our off-beat personalities. Our ceremony had a very casual playful feeling which is exactly the type of people we are as a couple.
Our wonderful celebrant gave us the perfect unique ceremony we wanted, she gave a beautiful romantic reading about the golden record which was so special to have included. Our best friend and maid of honor, Sarah, did a reading of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis de Bernieres which perfectly describes love and was a highlight.”
Blissful Cakes created the vegan wedding cake which worked back with the style of occasion, of which Amanda says, “I think the theme if there was one could be described as a black and gold industrial chic. The venue really lent it’s charm and I only wanted to compliment the setting and the open fireplaces with some black candles that gave a beautiful intimate atmosphere. ”
Amanda remembers, “Our first dance was to our song Something About Us – Daft Punk.”
Congratulations Amanda and Lee! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you to It’s Beautiful Here for sharing today’s celebration!
