It’s become quite the tradition to celebrate New Years Eve at Polka Dot Bride with a celebrity wedding countdown (See 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007) so it’s time to count down the 2015 celebrity weddings we loved!

A Sylvia Weinstock cake, A Zuhair Murad wedding gown, a Jeff Leathem floral backdrop. If there was a grand wedding this year, Sofia Vergara’s wedding to Joe Manganiello was up there. The couple chose a Florida resort for their big day celebrating with 350 guests and a 38 piece band.
Prince Carl Philip & Sofia Hellqvist
The 2015 Swedish royal wedding saw Prince Carl Philip & Sofia Hellqvist walk down the aisle in the chapel of the Royal Palace.The bride chose a long sleeve lace gown custom made by Swedish designer Ida Sjostedt.
The couple celebrated with their 300 guests in a lavish wedding reception at the White Sea Hall where they dined in front of a floral backdrop and danced the night away with guests in the mirrored Karl XI’s Gallery.

Geri Halliwell and Christian Horner are newlyweds this year thanks to their London wedding. Geri walked down the aisle with daughter Bluebell in a long sleeve lace gown crafted by designer Phillipa Lepley. The church ceremony preceding a country estate wedding reception.

The wedding of Andy Murray and Kim Sears was held in a sweet Scottish Cathedral in the groom’s home town Dunblane. The bride chose a beaded Jenny Packham gown with three quarter sleeves and a long veil while the groom wore a traditional kilt.
Luxury hotel Cromlix hosted the reception, the converted historic mansion setting the scene for the weekend’s festivities.

Whitney Port and Tim Rosenman are the newest newlyweds on our list this year having just tied the knot in Palm Springs last month. The bride wore a long sleeve Ashi Couture gown with a high low neckline and the newlyweds celebrated with their 200 guests in a pineapple themed celebration paying homage to Whitney’s love of good hospitality.
Riley Keough and Ben Smith-Petersen

The wedding of Riley Keough and Ben Smith-Petersen chose a Napa Valley ranch for their intimate wedding. The bride chose a long sleeve lace gown designed by Delphine Manivet for her walk down the candelit aisle.
The couple celebrated with friends and family beside the ranch’s lake and danced until the wee morning hours.

The Monaco royal wedding of the year of Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo saw an extended celebration with two ceremonies. The first, held in a the Pink palace was a civil ceremony where the bride wore Valentino, the second ceremony, held on the Borromean Islands on Lake Maggiore had the bride wearing Armani for the religious vows before changing into a flowing silk gown to celebrate.

Choosing a destination celebration, Ricki-Lee Coulter & Richard Harrison took their wedding to France for an intimate wedding with just 27 guests. The bride chose a Johanna Johnson ballgown, celebrating with guests in a three course gourmet meal and of course French champagne!
The couple celebrated all week long- kicking off with a pre-wedding party for the groom in Amsterdam and finished the evening with the bride serenading her new husband to “Can’t Help Falling In Love”.

Topanga Canyon was chosen as the wedding venue for Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed’s wedding vows. The couple surprised guests with a secret bus ride where the bride wore a gown by Claire Pettibone before the newlyweds celebrated with guests with a backyard barbecue style celebration.
Red Velvet cake was served up as guests descended on the dance floor.

Allison Williams and Ricky Van Veen chose a long weekend celebration for their marriage. They kicked off with a welcome dinner and wed two days later on a Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming amongst the open fields.
The bride chose an Oscar De La Renta ballgown with flowing veil custom made just for her.
