This savoury infused vodka is perfect for those day-after brunches when everyone is nursing a sore head. Or pop little bottles of it in a hangover kit for your bridesmaids!
Serve it straight-up over ice and you have yourselves a low-cal bloody-tini. But it’s also yummy with a splash of soda or add it to tomato juice for an easy Bloody Mary.
What you need:
– 750ml clean bottle or jar with a lid
– 100g cherry tomatoes, halved
– 1 stalk celery, cut into 5cm lengths
– 1 teaspoon black peppercorns, crushed lightly
– 500ml vodka
Method:
Place the tomatoes, celery and pepper in the bottle/jar. Pour over the vodka. Seal and place in the refrigerator for 1 week, shaking occasionally.
Strain the vodka into a jug and pour into a clean, dry bottle/jar. It is shelf stable once the fresh ingredients have been removed.
Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
It can easily be doubled or tripled as required. Enjoy!
