Mandy & Michael
A lazy afternoon in the sunshine sounds pretty good right about now and the Summer Dunbar House wedding of Mandy & Michael sounds like just the place I’d like to be. The golden sunlight, an afternoon of love, cocktails and canapes as the sun sets and that amazing Watsons Bay view! Mandy & Michael chose Milk & Honey Photography to capture their wedding day.
Mandy tells “We met in London, through one of our bridesmaids.”
Mandy chose a gown with a sheer lace bodice by Mira Mandic.
The bridal party enjoyed a champagne toast while waiting for the ceremony.
Mandy walked down the aisle to John Legend’s “All Of Me”.
Mandy remembers, “Our celebrant Carol Provan was wonderful.”
Mandy describes the day as a “Perfect summer day, perfect light, perfect moment.”
Mandy’s bridesmaids wore pink and black dresses from Jigsaw.
“The weather was better than predicted, our elderly relatives made a huge effort to be there as well as our friends from London, and all our family and friends were so excited, it made for an amazing atmosphere.”
After the ceremony, the newlyweds had photos taken while guests enjoyed champagne and canapes to the tunes of The Noel and Paul Mason Band who played on the verandah downstairs.
Of their photographer, Mandy remembers, “Matthew was fantastic, we’re so happy with our photos and on the day Matthew’s relaxed sweet nature was perfect.”
A nod to family decorated the mantle, Mandy telling, “We decorated the mantel piece with photos of our parents and grandparents on their wedding days.”
Simmone Logue created a three tiered wedding cake decorated with fresh flowers.
There was no first dance, Mandy noting, “We didn’t have one. We wanted a party rather than a traditional wedding so we included the traditions that suited us, like the speeches and cutting the cake, and didn’t include the traditions that aren’t ‘us’.”
Congratulations Mandy and Michael! Thank you for sharing your day, thank you also to Milk & Honey Photography for sharing today’s wedding with us!
