Alicja & Matt
A wedding in Spring doesn’t get much better than this Southern Highlands Spring wedding. The masses of fresh white blooms, touches of fresh pale yellow and plenty of romantic, heartfelt moments in amongst it all. Alicja and Matt chose Cavanagh Photography to capture their wedding day.
The rain, which had poured for the last 26 days cleared just in time for Alicja and Matt to say their I Do’s – the greenery surrounding them even more vibrant.
Alicja and Matt chose Terrara House Estate for their wedding, noting, “We chose to use Terrara House Estate for both the ceremony and reception.
The ceremony was held on the grand entrance way into the manor due to wet weather on the day. The guests watching from below. At conclusion of the ceremony guests were free to wonder the gardens while being served with canapés and drinks, while the bridal party were being photographed. At dusk, we all moved into the pre set marquee for formalities and to dance the night away. After the reception, we had arranged a bus to collect guests and ferry them back to local hotels.”
Alicja walked down the aisle to Air on a G String – Johan Sebastian Bach.
Kris Rose performed the ceremony, the bride noting, “Kris Rose our celebrant was amazing, having attended our house on many occasions to prepare for the day – she made it go so smoothly. Without her the men’s flowers may not of gotten put on. She made us both feel at ease and is highly recommended.”
Of their photographer, Alicja says, “Adam was a blast to work with on our special day. Making the long trip to Nowra the day before the event and meeting up with the Groom to scope out the location, with many potential sites flagged. On event day the sessions went seamlessly, with both parties getting ready with little fuss and no hold ups. He definitely knew what he was doing and how to co-ordinate the day. During the ceremony and reception Adam was amazing with nothing ever being an issue, and the quality of the photos shows. We plan on using Adam in the future for other memorable events.”
Momental Designs created Spring inspired watercolour stationery for the day. The couple used a wood cut off ‘slice’ as their guest book, having guests sign their name on the smooth surface.
Of their first dance, Alicja remembers, “We chose “The Way You Look Tonight” by Toni Bennett. We had lessons and learned a whole routine as the groom has two left feet, however on the night nerves got the better of the two of us and kept things simple. With a spin or two we were both happy with the end result.”
Dancing was a highlight of the night thanks to Personalised DJs. “The DJ Jim was incredible especially being so flexible and slotting in a few Polish songs.”
Congratulations on your marriage Alicja and Matt. Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us. Thank you also to Cavanagh Photography for sharing today’s wedding with us.
