Jade & Stefan
What could be more fun than dancing the night away at a science museum? That’s exactly what Jade and Stefan did at their fun science museum wedding. They held pre dinner drinks in Scienceworks pumping station before wining and dining their guests in the boiler room. If that isn’t reason enough to love today’s wedding, I don’t know what is! We Are Alchemy were there to capture it all.
Jade tells the story of how she met Stefan. “We met at a mutual friend’s party on the Gold Coast. We had an instant connection but Stefan lived in Melbourne and I lived on the Gold Coast so we stayed friends for a few months before we pursued anything more.”
The bride wore a silver lace gown by George Gross & Harry Who (now closed). Her bridesmaids in steel blue dresses custom made by a friend.
Jade and Stefan were married at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Spotswood.
Of their photographers, Jade tells, “We had two photographers. A male and female. They were great. We had them all morning, afternoon and night. Really professional but fun.”
Jade describes the wedding as “Industrial 1920’s gothic inspired.”
Scienceworks was chosen for the reception, Jade explaining, “Our reception was at the ScienceWorks Museum. Pre-drinks and canapes was located in the engine room and the main reception was in the Boiler House, both within the Pumping Station section.”
Guests received favors of vanilla roobios tea from Mcivers Tea. The bride and groom made each table centrepiece themselves.
Sweet by Nature made a two tier chocolate wedding cake.
For their first dance, the bride changed into a mini dress with silver glitter sneakers, remembering, “Stefan and I did a fun choreographed dance. We went to dance lessons and made up a dance to Treasure by Bruno Mars.”
Congratulations on your marriage Jade and Stefan! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to We Are Alchemy and Scienceworks for sharing today’s wedding with us!

I love this venue, such a great idea to take it at such a beautiful building, it usually goes overlooked. Those bridesmaid dresses are so beautiful, really interesting colour
