Aleisha & Matt
There is something special about historic mansions – the stories and grandeur that lies beneath their walls make them a beautiful setting for an elegant wedding celebration. Aleisha and Matt chose historic Quat Quatta for their wedding. Marrying in the mansion’s green lined courtyard and celebrating in the grand ballroom. Aparat Photography was there to capture it all.
Aleisha remembers how they met. “We were set-up on a blind date and were inseparable from that moment on.”
Aleisha chose a wedding gown with lace detailing from Anna Campbell. Her bridesmaids wore elegant frocks from Zimmermann.
Aleisha walked down the aisle to a live acoustic version of “Songbird” by Oasis performed by The White Tree who provided music for the ceremony and reception.
Shannon McGregor (Cloud 9 Celebrations) performed the ceremony, the bride remembering, “Shannon was our celebrant and she was amazing! She really made our ceremony everything we hoped it would be.”
Aleisha and Matt chose Quat Quatta for their wedding, explaining, “We had both the ceremony and reception at Quat Quatta. We were married in their garden and it was such a beautiful, sunny day. The garden is so gorgeous and was exactly what we wanted. We then moved inside for the reception which was set up beautifully. The size of the venue was perfect for the number of guests we had.”
Of their photographers, Aleisha notes, “Jakub and Zosia from Aparat Photography did an amazing job. We wanted very candid and raw photos – nothing too posey or over the top. They really met the brief and captured so many beautiful moments.”
The floral arrangements of green and white added a classic elegance to the day, “Mordialloc Florist did our flowers and they took my breath away when I saw them – they were the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen!”
Aleisha remarks, “We wanted our wedding to progress very naturally and to be an intimate affair, which I think shows through the photos. We didn’t want any part of our day to be over the top and again I think Jakub and Zosia captured this beautifully.”
Aleisha says their first dance was, “So fun! We had lessons for about 2 months and did a choreographed dance to “You’re My Best Friend” by Queen. We had perfected the dance but of course on the night we totally forgot our moves for about 30 seconds of the song! So we just made something up on the spot until we figured out how to get back on track.”
Classic & Prestige Car Hire provided elegant historic cars for the bridal party on the day. Aleisha tells, “Prestige Car Hire provided us with three beautiful Rolls Royce’s as our wedding transport and they were so lovely and incredibly professional.”
To top off this gorgeous post, the couple chose C2 Video to capture a film of the day, remarking, “C2 Video were our videographers and they are one of the most creative and professional companies I’ve ever come across and their work is beyond amazing.”
Congratulations on your marriage Aleisha and Matt! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! Thank you also to Aparat Photography for sending this beauty our way!
