Hayley & Brad
I love the feeling of Hayley and Brad’s wedding- it’s a modern rustic celebration The venue and decor reflective of the location but the tones of navy and coral such a fun, modern twist! The couple chose Nicole Cordeiro to capture their South Australian nuptials!
The newlyweds tell their (childhood!) love story. “We first met in kindergarten… we are actually standing next to each other in our kindy photo. But it wasn’t Brad’s Inspector Gadget t-shirt or Hayley’s self-cut diagonal fringe that brought us together, it wasn’t until after 5 years of friendship at high school that we finally started dating.”
Hayley chose a Jean Fox gown Adelaide Bridal Centre. Her bridesmaids in navy dresses made by Dianne Roether.
Jazz it Up performed during the ceremony and reception – a highlight for the newlyweds! Hayley choosing “This Years Love by David Grey” to walk down the aisle to, starting under a handmade metal arch made by her brother.
Hayley and Brad chose Kingsbrook, Currency Creek for their wedding day. Hayley noting, “Kingsbrook Estate is the most gorgeous place to have a wedding. We had our ceremony in front of the temple and the reception in the marquee. The stunning, rustic style makes the perfect canvas for creating the wedding of your dreams. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was absolutely divine. It was the perfect place to celebrate our special day.”
Hayley describes the day as, “The most perfect celebration to start the next chapter of our journey, shared with all the wonderful people in our lives.”
Of their photographer, Hayley tells, “Our photographer Nicole Cordeiro was the perfect person to have on our wedding day. She has the most calming nature, which made us feel so relaxed. She is very modest and talented and her kind and caring personality made the bridal party feel extremely comfortable around her. Nicole is a professional, has a brilliant creative flare, and she discreetly captured all the most important moments of our day.
We couldn’t be happier with the stunning photographs we received and her attention to detail goes above and beyond what is expected. The special memories of our wedding will last forever thanks to Nicole’s amazing work.”
Hayley notes, “We tried to do as much as we could ourselves… such as: invitations, table decorations, where we collected jars and wrapped twine around for flowers and candles, the bonbonniere gifts were home-made cookies by family and friends, we created our own ‘Find Your Seat’ door, and the place cards were personalized with individual names and the meaning of their names on a magnet which they could take home to keep. And also some fun, little, quirky activities.”
Paper bags filled with handmade cookies hung at each guest’s chair. Bitter Sweet Patisserie made a two tier wedding cake adorned with coral blooms and brown twine.
With a dance teacher as the bride, the dance floor was always going to be a highlight of the night, Hayley remembers, “We performed a pre-choreographed first dance to ‘Your Song’ by Ellie Golding. It was one of the most special moments of our day.”
Hayley and Brad telln “The most exciting thing about our wedding was the surprise ‘fun dance’ which Hayley choreographed, performed by Hayley and Brad and the bridal party.”
Congratulations Hayley and Brad! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Nicole Cordeiro for sharing today’s photographs!
