Dee & Josh
A black lace wedding gown, English breakfast tea favors, vintage decor, gold deer on a wedding cake – Dee and Josh’s beautiful wedding day can only be described as somewhat eclectic. Their love of all things vintage and desire for a relaxed wedding day combining into something truly special captured entirely by Christine Lim. The couple, who had many of Josh’s English relatives fly in for the wedding had perfect weather for their wedding day – much to the English contingents delight!
Dee chose a gown with a black lace bodice by Pearl’s Bridal.
Beans & Bunches created the bridal party floral arrangements – the bride’s bouquet in tones of pink, white and green.
The Butcher, Baker, Creator and Stylist styled the ceremony and reception, the ceremony full of mismatched wooden chairs, a carpet aisle and plenty of white and green floral arrangements.
Lilac Hill Park was chosen for the ceremony, Dee telling, “We chose Lilac Hill Park in Guildford for its stunning setting; we thought it would be great for photos and suit our outdoor ceremony perfectly.”
The processional was carefully chosen, Dee telling, “I walked down the aisle to Big Jet Plane by Angus and Julia Stone. This song is a favourite and suited our history as a couple as we’ve come so far and shared time together and apart through our relationship.”
Stacey Morris performed the ceremony.
Of their photographer, Dee tells, “We choose the amazing Christine Lim through our loves for her previous work. She has worked on many weddings also with a vintage theme. She was suggested to us by Jessica Butcher as she had shot their wedding and we loved the photography. We knew she would capture our day perfectly.”
Sherbet Bake Shop created a sweet pink cake topped with two gold deer.
Dee and Josh chose The Rose and Crown Hotel for their reception, noting, “We picked The Rose and Crown Hotel for its history and its beautiful heritage building, this would suit our theme perfectly and feels old, rich and full of character. “The Butcher, Baker, Creator and Stylist styled the space with vintage furniture and props.
Each guest received a homemade favor – a jar of English breakfast tea – a nod to Josh’s heritage, adorned with a printed tag from Simplethings Press.
Dee loved, “Having all the people we love together in one place and all the amazing vendors coming together and making our vision come to life.”
Congratulations on your wedding Dee and Josh! May you have a long and happy life together! Thank you to Christine Lim for sharing today’s celebration with us!
