This gorgeous wedding was deemed to be one of “rustic romance” by the newlyweds! The couple chose a gorgeous South Australian winery to say their I do’s, complete with an arbor they built to marry under! Every detail carefully considered, their love story was carefully told. Alison and Tyson chose Lucinda May Photography to capture the moments of their wedding day.
Alison says, “We met at our friends 16th birthday! And got married on our 8 year anniversary!”
Alison chose a V neck wedding gown by Liza Emaunuele and chose a dusty blue gown for her bridesmaids from Etsy.
Blooming Bridal created floral arrangements of soft pastel blooms.
Alison and Tyson chose Golding Winery for their wedding, remarking, “We wanted a rustic romantic wedding where there were vines and garden for our wedding and a barn for the reception all the in the same location for the convenience of guests’ travel. Golding Winery fitted right into our category and their wines are beautiful.”
Alison chose ‘1000 Years’ by Christine Perri to walk down the aisle to.
Alison remembers, “I loved the little details that happened on the day, as I walking down the aisle, there were a bunch of blue little birds flying around at the ceremony, it was such an amazing touch to the ceremony”. The couple chose Camille Abbott to perform the ceremony.
Of their photographer, Alison remarks, “Lucinda May Photography style looks so natural and beautiful, she finds great lighting for when the capturing happens. Having our engagement shoot (included in the wedding package) really helped to know what to expect and helped us be more natural for on the wedding day. We just felt so comfortable around Lucinda, it felt like she wasn’t following us and Tyson & I were just spending time together before we joined the celebration with our guests.”
The reception was lit up with masses of white paper lanterns and a backdrop of fairy lights. Alison and Tyson gifted each guest a jar of Apple Jam or Tomato Relish.
The couple chose a cheese wedding cake from The Smelly Cheese Shop.
Much of the decor was made by the bride and groom who note, “We loved the handmade props & decorations, made it more personal for us and everyone who attended. We enjoyed making and collecting them in the lead up to the wedding and was so special to see it all being put into place.” Everything from the signage, the lawn games, to the centrepieces and ceremony arbor was made by the couple.
Of the first dance, Alison remembers, ” We danced to ‘If I ain’t got you’ by Alicia Keys. It was very special to us. We took on some dancing lessons to help us on our way as we were terrible dancers! We had so much fun dancing our routine, the twirling and dip/kiss were the highlights.”
Congratulations on your marriage Alison and Tyson! Thank you for sharing the stories of your day with us! Thank you also to Lucinda May Photography for sharing today’s wedding with us!
