This Nordic inspiration shoot is such a different take on an outdoor wedding that I am delighted to share it with you! Shades of taupe, grey and cream with natural greenery are accented by soft blues. The setting? A woodland forest, guests to dine at wooden trestle tables on seafood and cheese, (with wedding cake but of course!), surrounded by blooms in tree trunk vases.
Created by brand new wedding collaborative The Wedding Fair, founder Tigs (of Tigs Macallan Photography) and her sister Olivia pulled together a team from the collaborative to create a shoot that reflected their love for all things Nordic.
Olivia tells, “There is so much beautiful geometric and Antler love happening in decor world right now. We just love this feel and thought it would be great to combine it with our love for all things Nordic. We took inspiration from the TV series Vikings with their beautiful warrior woman and rustic sea culture. We just loved their strength and courage and thought it would be great to have out very own braided warrior princess. We used fur, horn, wood and the softness of flowers to bring the look together. We aspired to create a rustic yet clean look that was also gently feminine. We incorporated rustic sea foods and cheese to complete vibe. ”
Much like a collaborative shoot, The Wedding Fair is all about giving new & emerging wedding vendors the chance to hone their skills by creating unique wedding styled shoots and help launch wedding vendors into the industry but connecting them with like minded talent and inspiration. Based out of Melbourne, the collaborative is a space that works to provides opportunities for growth to their members.
The bride wore a gown by Cathleen Jia.
Sugar Bee Flowers created the beautiful bouquet, floral hairpiece and table centrepieces.
Morris Brown provided decor items for the shoot including a wooden trestle table and chairs, snuggly faux fur throw and vintage champagne bucket.
