Amy & Chris
Amy and Chris chose a romantic Fiji destination wedding to pledge their vows to one another. They chose a flame tree to marry under, with their friends and family taking a holiday to enjoy their wedding in the warmest and most tropical of locations. Leezett Photography was on hand to capture their romantic beach wedding.
Amy tells the tale of how they came to be. “We have known each other for over 10 years and one night 7 and 1/2 years ago we got together, fell in love and we haven’t looked back since.”
Amy and Chris chose Musket Cove Fiji on Malolo Lailai Island for their wedding, utilising the resort’s wedding planner to coordinate the ceremony, reception, flowers, music and cake. Amy remarking, “It was such a beautiful place and our wedding planner Gloria Osborne did such an outstanding job creating our dream wedding. She over delivered on everything we asked for. We stayed at Musket Cove along with all of our guests the week before the wedding and it was just perfect in every way – the hospitality and accommodation was outstanding, we could not have chosen a better place for our special day.”
Amy chose a strapless ball gown from Briony Leigh Bridal Miranda . Her bridesmaids wore mint green gowns from Review.
Hair and Makeup Perfectionist styled the bride and bridesmaid hair and makeup. Amy remembering, “We would like to thank our amazing hair and makeup team – The hair and makeup perfectionists. Ash and his team are just brilliant and everyone just looked stunning. We were all so amazed at their talent and we would recommend them to anyone who is planning a wedding in Fiji.”
The couple chose a flame tree for their ceremony location noting, “We chose to get married under a beautiful flame tree in one of the gardens over looking the lagoon. We were the first couple to be married here and we chose the location as we felt it was perfect and the tree was stunning.”
Amy walked down the aisle to Bruno Mars “Marry You”.
Amy notes “The day was beyond our expectations, there was not one hiccup and everything just ran so smoothly. We were so blessed to have so many of our beautiful family and friends travel so far to share our special day with us. We were so grateful for the help and support of our families without them our special day would not have been possible.”
Of their photographer, Amy notes, “Our Photographer Leezett Birch was absolutely amazing, she was so easy to work with and made everyone feel so comfortable – especially Chris who is quite camera shy. When we received our photos we were completely blown away! She did such a great job and is very talented, we couldn’t be happier.”
The ceremony and reception spaces were decorated simply in greens and whites. The newlyweds noting, “Knowing we were having an overseas wedding Amy opted to use local flowers, banana leaves and limes as decorations as she felt that it would fit perfectly with the beautiful surroundings and we were conscious of the limited amount of decorations we could bring with us on the plane. We did bring a few extras like our gorgeous place cards, the Amy and Chris wooden sign (which Amy painted white) for the bridal table, the Mr and Mrs Innes sign for the cake and also the fairy lights.”
Of their first dance, Amy remembers, “Angus and Julia Stone’s Big Jet Plane was the song we danced to, we chose this as it is very special to the both of us and is ‘our’ song. Our reception was held outside on the beach, our first dance was completely magical under the stars on such a beautiful night.”
Guests danced the night away under the stars to the sounds of DJ Ranjit. Amy remarking “Our DJ, DJ Ranjit was also fantastic and he kept the great tunes coming all night long. Our close friend Jordan Green was our MC on the night and we couldn’t have asked for a funnier man to take the role. He did such an outstanding job and kept the night flowing perfectly. We will be forever grateful.”
Congratulations on your marriage Amy and Chris! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Leezett Photography for sharing today’s wedding with us!
