This stunning shoot from Melbourne designer Gwendolynne is just the most beautiful array of photographs to look at and collaborating with florist Flowers Vasette and hair and makeup artist Vivian Ashworth makes it such a beautiful start to Spring.
Debuting last week at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, the “Modern Muse” collection was inspired by sophisticated and strong women of style in her world.
Gwendolynne took inspiration from fashionistas including Daeneryus Stormborn Khaleesi from Game of Thrones, The Lady Mayoress of Melbourne and Passionate Advocate of the Arts, Emma Page Campbell, Elke Doust of the fabulous Melbourne design duo Tettmann.Doust, Kyra Pybus, founder of Pybus PR, and blogger Phoebe Montague of Lady Melbourne.
This collection also sees Gwendolynne introduce long sleeve gowns to her repertoire. Luxurious silks, floaty chiffon veils, sun ray pleating, intricate hand beaded sleeves and bodices, and plenty of art deco detailing drawn from the details of art deco architecture carry Gwendolynne’s signature style throughout each piece. Hues of oyster, champagne and blush feature throughout the gowns weaving a romantic, nostalgic feel.
Gwendolynne works one on one with a French trained hand beader out of her Fitzroy studio to ensure her designs capture unique to her detail, each thread perfectly to represent her vision, each gown to be inherently feminine and most of all – comfortable.
Gwendolynne made to measure dresses are available from her Fitzroy salon in Melbourne. Her gowns are also available from Savvy Brides in Sydney, Luella’s Boudoir in London and Mille Feuille in New Zealand.
Hi Polka,
It’s very wonderful. The bride is beautiful and the combination with flowers make this post more attractive. Thank you very much for your work!
