Tori & Dave
I love nothing more than candlelit and nothing more than Winter, so put it together in a candlelit winter wedding and you have something pretty magical. Especially when the bride is a fantastic wedding stylist & planner in her own right! Tori runs Tori Allen Events and planned, styled and executed her wedding vision herself, choosing Leo Farrell and Purple Ribbon Weddings to capture it.
The newlyweds first met at a house party with friends and chose a cold June day for their wedding.
The groom and groomsmen wore suits from P. Johnson Tailors.
Rosa and Emma from Mobile Hair and Beauty styled the bride and bridesmaid’s hair while Skye Isabella styled their makeup.
Tori had her wedding gown made by One Day Bridal. She notes “I wish I could wear it again!”
Tori and Dave chose Port Phillip Estate for their ceremony and reception, Tori remarking, “I can’t begin to say how great Port Phillip Estate is. Not only is the venue beautiful, the setting stunning but the food and wine are insanely delicious and the staff are simply incredible.”
As Tori has her own events business (Tori Allen Events) she planned and styled the wedding herself – including all of the floral arrangements!
Tori walked down the aisle to Bella by Angus and Julia Stone.
Di Klienert officiated the ceremony, with Peter Miller performing the music.
Of their photographer, Tori tells “Our photographer was incredible! Once receiving the images after the day I was reminded as to why I chose Leo in the first place. A really candid story of the day, he brought the romance and mood to life by a stunning set of fun photos.”
Tori’s bridesmaids chose different gowns from Scanlan + Theodore, Nicholas, Megan Park and Mes Demoiselles.
Tori styled the reception herself choosing inky blue table linens, brass candle holders with long taper candles and blooms in rich jewel tones.
Tori notes ,”The ambiance of the night, the happiness of friends and family, the texture of the flowers, the colours of linen and brass and the architecture of the building! Yes the images capture all this and more.”
Of their first dance, Tori remembers, “It was a disaster !! A good one.. but we got way too confident half way through and ended up throwing in the towel and calling everyone on to party!” The White Tree got everybody – young and old onto the dance floor!
Purple Ribbon Weddings captured the romantic film of Tori and Dave’s day.
Congratulations on your marriage Tori and Dave! May your life together be more magical than you imagined! Thank you to Leo Farrell for sharing today’s wedding with us!
