Jessica & James
There is nothing quite like a waterside, relaxed, classic wedding and Jessica and James celebrated theirs on Sydney’s waterside with photographer David Henry. No fuss, just a wedding with two people who adore one another and want to celebrate it in a relaxed party with their closest loved ones- including their two children.
Jessica kicks us off with their story. “We met on the central coast 8 years ago when we were 18 and 20. This is always a story our friends love to tell because James doesn’t actually remember approaching me the first time we met (a couple too many drinks under his belt) he only remembers the following week when he approached me again and to start the conversation asked where he knew me from.”
Jessica’s wedding gown was designed by Anna Campbell and the bride paired it with stiletto heels from Jimmy Choo.
Tobi Henney styled the bride and bridesmaid’s makeup.
Jessica’s bridesmaids’ wore purple gowns from Two Birds Bridesmaids.
Jessica and James chose Our Lady Star of the Sea Watsons Bay for their ceremony, Jessica noting “Our priest Father Robert was a special part of the day for us. He ran the service when James’ dad passed away, and he has baptised both of our children Kade and Layla; so it was really special to have him travel from the central coast to do our wedding as well. ”
Jessica walked down the aisle to Keith Urban – Making Memories of Us.
“We chose OLSS Watsons Bay because we loved the location and the setting was perfectly suited to the type of people James and I are. The church is stunning and the Watsons Bay backdrop was exactly what we were after for our photos.”
The couple’s two children were an important part of the day, though Kade’s excitement got the better of him says Jessica. “We wanted our kids to be a special part of our day, but unfortunately just before I arrived at the church Kade had a fall and wasn’t very well for the rest of the day so we only have a couple of photos with Kade. We keep saying it will make for a funny story when he is older because it’s so typical of his personality!”
Jessica and James chose Dockside Cockle Bay for their reception, topped off with a splendid cake from Sparkle Cupcakery. Jessica notes “We chose Dockside for our reception again for its location. The view was second to none, the food was amazing and the staff were so helpful in the whole lead up and organisation of everything! They made the whole experience so enjoyable and stress free! ”
The Candy Buffet Company created a lolly buffet which doubled as guest favors.
Of their first dance, Jessica remembers, “We danced to Joshua Kadison- Beautiful in My Eyes. It’s a song we’ve always loved and James tries his best to serenade me with! ”
The couple’s favourite moment is the same one! They tell “After the first dance the DJ played the Horses by Darrell Braithwaite which is one of Jess’ favourite songs. The whole wedding was up on the dance floor singing at the top of their lungs, it was awesome.”
DnM Wedding Films captured the wedding film of Jessica and James.
