We have such fun rounding up the best and greatest food trucks for functions around the country (see my posts here) that I knew it was time for an update!
We’re kicking off our roundup with food trucks and vans for weddings in Victoria but we have other States coming up over the next few weeks! Just as we did last time, we hunted down every food truck we could find and set about asking them for their function information. Here’s what we found for you!

Tacos are officially my favourite truck food and Chingon Taco Truck offers a range of delicious 100% gluten free food for weddings and events. They cater to all kinds of dietary requirements and guests will be able to feast on favourites like tacos (including a flame grilled fish taco and a charcoal roasted corn taco to name but a few), salsas, tamales and even soup. Minimum spend is usually about $1500 and to book, Email them or call (03) 9429 5695.
Soul Kitchen Wood Fired Pizza Truck
Could there be anything more delicious that a wood fired pizza? Meet Soul Kitchen Wood Fired Pizza Truck! They’ll create custom menus suited to your dietary and guests’ needs and charge $950 for 50 pizzas. They’re unable to travel off road, so need a venue that allows them to take it easy.
With a catch cry of “You Don’t Need Teeth To Eat Our Meat” you know this food truck is going to be serving up food where your guests will definitely need to go back for seconds. Smokin’ Barrys is an American style BBQ truck that can easily cater to large groups. Their entire menu is gluten free (except for their bread) and includes favourites like smoked pulled pork, beef brisket and chilli cheese fries. Prices start at $1000 for the food truck menu. Vietnamese style street food is the cuisine you can expect from Lil’ Nom Noms! Enjoy delicious tasty treats like Banh Bao, Banh Mi and Bun Cha. With plenty of vegan and gluten free options, guests can be served canape style. Lil’ Nom Noms can be booked via their website and has a minimum spend of $1500.
If you want to enjoy an Argentinian BBQ feast, Senor BBQ is the food truck for you! From cutlery, to lighting and of course food. Senor BBQ can help with all aspects of your catering. These guys have a set menu but can be flexible with the options included. They’ve served small groups and groups up to 900, so whatever your size these guys might be right for you! Their meats and chorizos are gluten free and they have plenty of options available for vegans and vegetarians. The ‘eat all you want’ menu starts at $25 per person, but the menu can be tailored to your needs.
The Brulee Cart is all about dessert and toasting that toffee top right in front of your eyes! With delicious flavours like salted caramel and chocolate, private function catering is $9 per person with a minimum of 100.
Want a quick and delicious Quesadilla at your wedding? Meet Treat Yo Self Cart. They fill their Quesadillas with authentic fillings like Frijoles Negros (Black Bean), Frijoles Refritos (Refried Bean) and a Margarita style filling. They have a small minimum spend of $500 and can be booked via their website.
Phil and Andrea’s Handmade Ice Pops
For summer weddings, you can’t go past the surprise of icy cold handmade icypoles for guests to enjoy. Phil and Andrea’s Handmade Ice Pops sell pops separately or from their cart (for a starting price of $750). The team will work to design custom flavors with you and if you’re not using the cart, can even provide vintage style containers for serving. Their pops are handmade with gluten free, dairy free, nut free and vegan options.
For beverage “Trucks”, meet Beer Gypsies! They have function packages ranging from $25-45 per person and will work with you on your budget. Their specialty is in the boutique arena – boutique beers, boutique ciders and local, amazing wines from Victoria breweries and wineries.
White Guy Cooks Thai is a Melbourne favourite for Thai street style cuisine. With a minimum spend of $1000, they offer main course or two course options with a menu including soft shell crab burgers, Pla Sam Rod, pork sliders and pulled Korean Beef Bulgogi. The crew will work with you to create your own function menu.
Tom Collins Caravan Bar was borne from quite the impulse purchase on Ebay, and has transformed into a stunning, rustic mobile bar designed to serve your guests in style. They provide the glassware and other assorted tools for serving beverages to your guests, by well-dressed staff with skills to match. All that is required of you is to provide the liquor and bubbles! The caravan bar is available for hire in Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Gidgets Beach Cantina is complete with retro decor. Say goodbye to the bright and bold food truck (may she RIP) and say hello to the more subtle taco shack which can be customised to your wedding colour scheme. Gidgets Beach Cantina has a minimum spend of $800 with a minimum of 30 guests and serves up nachos, tacos, sliders, burritos and even ceviche! The menu is customised to your function!
Want the food truck experience without actually moving? Meet Grub Food Van which is located, permanently in Fitzroy! With a minimum spend, the stationary food van can cater to weddings and events at $30 per head. They’re even licensed for 120 people so that champagne you want to serve to go along side the tortillas, sandwiches and trifles is well earned!
Trailer-Made is an artisan style food truck serving up natural flavours and local produce. Guests will enjoy plenty of delicious European style street food with lots of dietary options (from vegetarian, vegan to gluten free). Trailer-Made packages start at $15 per person with a minimum number of 30 guests.
Looking for tasty American style BBQ treats? Meet Fancy Hanks BBQ who serve up favourites like brisket, BBQ chicken, cornbread, potato salad and beef ribs. These guys are more of a mobile caterer than food truck (their smokers are on trailers), they have a minimum spend of $1500 but are licensed.
Looking for something to cool down guests in the height of Summer? Lucky Pops Ice Delights hand makes icypoles packed with fresh ingredients and plenty of flavour. From vegan pops to cream based pops, all pops are gluten free, nut free and egg free.
For lovers of a good old fashioned pizza, let me introduce you to The Pizza Truck. No gas, no coal- just good old fashioned wood fired pizza! The crew can cater to gluten-free, coeliacs and any strange/unusual tastes and have a minimum spend of $700. Pizzas are in the delicious flavours of Pepperoni Plus, Caprese, Satay Chicken and plenty of old favourites – plus starters including bruschetta and olive and feta pizza.
Dreux and Ghisallo
Nothing warms up guests at a cold weather wedding like a hot drink , so enter Dreux and Ghisallo! They serve boutique specialty coffee and teas from a well equipped and rather cute tricycle! The minimum spend is $895 but if your guests are the type who know their coffee and their blends, this is one definite treat that will wow them.
Massive Weiners
What about serving guests old fashioned, good and delicious hot dogs? Massive Weiners creates custom hot dogs for functions. With three kinds of sausages and plenty of diner style additions, they’re sure to be a crowd pleaser. Function hire includes $800 of product and there is a minimum spend of $1000.
Fresh Italian style gelato take your fancy? Gelato Events create diary free, traditionally made gelato and serve it from their sweet umbrella shielded cart for weddings and events! They work hard to create custom blends and flavours that suit your specific function. For $1,150, they’ll provide everything (including eight flavours of gelato) which works for groups of 80-160 or if you’re looking for a small group of 30 or so, they’ll serve your guests four flavours complete with cups and spoons.
A van filled with Mexican tacos, sweet corn and guacamole. For Mexican food lovers, you need to meet Cornutopia. Customisable Mexican food menus including favourites like tacos, sweet corn and guacamole and will even work in with your dietary requirements (like gluten free and vegetarian).
Banh Mi Boys
Banh Mi Boys. serve up Vietnamese street food cuisine to die for from Banh Mi Boys. For functions, they have three packages available (the deluxe “Roll Her In” has a minimum spend of $1500 with staff not only helping you design a menu but also serving for three hours)
Bianco Latte Ice Cream Cart will rock up at your wedding for $748 – their package includes absolutely everything! From a free flow of ice-cream and sorbet, four flavours, an attendant and setup!
Digging For Fire BBQ Kitchen offers up a delicious dose of international street food. Guests can enjoy a broad range of delights with the team inspired by their travels! Tasty treats like BBQ cinnamon and chilli chicken wings, Pickled octopus, skordalia, lemon and candied olive, chorizo crumble and Slow cooked lamb shoulder, Israeli cous cous, smokey eggplant, zucchini, tomato and pomegranate, thyme feta and pickled cucumber are all on the menu!
Menus are easily tailored to your own function and can suit carnivores,vegetarians, vegans, coeliacs, and children! Prices begin at Prices begin at $10 per head for lunch, though the average spend is the $30 Buffet menu weddings. Generally they require a minimum of 40 people for lunch and 50 for dinner.
Love so many of these! Any left over budget money is going to getting an ice cream/gelato cart for our wedding!

You forgot Happy Camper Pizza! We are the most famous pizza truck on Melbourne’s wedding scene – serving handmade Italian and gourmet pizzas from a 1960s Airstream! You won’t find a prettier food truck anywhere than ours 🙂
