Suzey and Anthony
There is something about a black tie wedding that is rather sparkling and Suzey’s J’Aton Couture dress just added extra sparkle to an already incredible wedding day. The day, in all its black tie glory was captured by Kerri Mackintosh.
On how they met, Suzey remembers, “Anthony & I met through mutual friends when we were both out for different occasions.”
Suzey wore a sparkling strapless gown by J’aton Couture , noting, “My dress was my dream dress & I loved it. ”
Kassy of Creations by Kassy styled the girls hair and makeup. Suzey remembering, “The hair & make up stylist we used was Kassy Wong from Creations by Kassy. I can’t recommend her enough. She is a real artist & in my view the best in the industry. Her attention to detail & extensive experience in the hair & make up industry sets her apart from the rest. I was so happy with my hair & make up for the day, she made me feel beautiful.”
Gently Bently transported the bridal party in white Bentleys.
Suzey walked down the aisle with her mother to, “An acoustic version of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri sung by the gorgeous Nat Pearson backed up by a guitarist.”
Suzey remembers, “Our wedding was magical, elegant & timeless.”
The couple used local spots for their wedding photos, Suzey explaining, “The first venue where the ladies got ready was The Lawson Building which is a beautiful, art deco, apartment house in the centre of Perth city. The second was the UWA grounds. It is simply stunning with all the beautiful gardens & unique architecture. The third was the park across the road from the Old Swan Brewery with all the gorgeous fig trees. There was leaves scattered all over the ground making a stunning back drop for the photos. ”
Of their photographer, Suzey says, “Our photographer Kerri Macintosh was not only one of the loveliest people we had ever met but also incredibly talented. Nothing was ever a problem. After meeting Kerri & seeing her work we knew she was perfect photographer for us. Kerri captured every special moment from the day & at the same time made us feel completely comfortable. We will treasure our photos for years to come.”
Holding their reception at waterside venue Matilda Bay Restaurant. The reception was decorated with candlelight and masses of white blooms. Suzey remarking, “We designed the flower arrangements & our dear friend Jackie (of Jackie Oxenbury Designs) brought them to life. She also made the stunning wedding bouquets, corsages & button holes. Matilda Bay was such a spectacular venue. We had a cocktail styled wedding outside in the Catalina room. There was vases of white flowers everywhere with candles in vases scattered in between with live acoustic music playing all night creating such a beautiful feel.”
Of their first dance, Suzey remembers, “Our first dance was to a live acoustic version of Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars, sung by Mike Nayar & Nat Pearson. We just had fun with it. We were smiling through the whole dance.”
