First things first- this fun tutorial was inspired by the lovely crew at Heart. Love. Weddings who created a DIY Chalkboard Mason Jar Candle Centerpiece last year. Wanting something a little more Valentines inspired, I altered the tutorial to use Australian available products and something a little brighter in keeping with the season!
What You’ll Need:
- Glass jars in your choice of shapes and sizes
- Contact paper
- Spray paint (I used Rust-oleum in Gloss Candy Pink, Gloss Berry Pink and Gloss Apple Red)
- A pen & scissors
Wash and dry the jars and remove any label glue residue. Trace a shape onto the “wrong” side of the contact paper and cut out carefully. Affix the shapes to the front of your jars (Tip: Choose a shape that sits low enough for your candle light to peek out.)
Carefully spray your jars, (in a well ventilated area using short strokes and holding the jar far away) including right over your shape and leave to dry.
Once dry, the contact paper peels right off (hooray!) and leaves a clean crisp line. If you need to touch it up, use a cotton bud dipped into mineral turpentine.
Pop a tea light candle inside and light.

LOVE these!! Thank you so much for sharing!! XO
