Bree and Paul
I love today’s relaxed ocean side wedding captured by Ming Nomchong – it pays homage to the couple’s love of the ocean and beach and is in spirit with how they met. Bride Bree telling, “We met on a sunny summers Sunday afternoon at Manly Wharf bar in Sydney.”
Bride Bree chose white blooms for her day arranged by Di Nash of Beach Tropic (0416 097 860).
Bree chose a strapless gown from Marry Me Bridal. Her bridesmaids wore coral toned gowns from Sheike.
Bree and Paul chose BYRA for their ceremony, Bree explaining, “BYRA is a rustic sailing club with a large deck that stretches out over the water. Both our families are into boats and we really wanted to somehow capture this in our wedding.”
Bree walked down the aisle to The XX – Angels.
There was a nod to those not present, Bree explaining, “My brother passed away the year before the wedding – so at the beginning of the ceremony we lit a candle for him that symbolised his presence there with us.”
“I really wanted the giant balloons, everyone was telling me I didn’t need them, so the morning of the wedding I snuck down to the venue with a gas tank and blew them up myself. I love the way they looked and I had so many people comment on them.”
Of their photographer, Bree tells, “Ming Nomchong captured the relaxed, fun vibe of the day perfectly. We hardly even noticed her taking the photos, she made everything so simple and relaxed. She has an incredible eye, scouted out all the best places for photos, and made having the photos taken one of the best parts of the day.”
Little Miss Sunshine (0412 584 630) transported the bridal party in colourful Kombi buses.
The newlyweds chose waterside venue Moby Dicks for their wedding celebrations, telling, “Moby Dicks has uninterrupted views over Whale Beach, We loved it’s relaxed, rustic, quirky style. The staff are incredible and all the flowers and decorations were all part of the package. The staff at Moby Dick’s were amazing, organising my wedding through them was the best decision I made, they took care of all the details and guided me through the entire process.”
Heartfelt Cakes (0414 544 637) created a delicious and decadent cake table.
The couple had a special kind of guestbook, Bree explains, “My bridesmaids organised a locked box with a bottle of champagne – they arranged that everyone from the wedding wrote a personalised note to us for us to open on our 1st wedding anniversary while drinking the bubbles.”
Congratulations on your marriage Bree and Paul! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you to Ming Nomchong for sharing today’s wedding photos!
Such a lovely day of celebration. We adore the setting and the fun little details!
