Sandra & Dave
It’s always fun sharing a wedding professional’s photographs with you, and today I am lucky enough to share the engagement photos of the beautiful Sandra of Elvi Design and her (now) husband Dave captured by photographer Christine Lim.
Sandra tells, “We wanted to capture some of our favourite spots in the Perth Hills, we both grew up in the area and we still live in the hills, it holds a special place in our hearts. Being Spring, we knew the setting would be lush and green. The last few photos are set on the escarpment overlooking Perth.”
On what he loves about Sandra, Dave tells, “I love Sandra’s enthusiasm for life and cheeky grin.”
Sandra wore a sweet vintage frock from Vintage Spinster.
Sandra tells, “We have a lot of laughs but no funny stories that we think will appeal to anyone other than our family and friends. Sorry!”
On what she loves about Dave, Sandra says, “I love how Dave approaches everything in life with a relaxed attitude, an open mind and a good sense of humour. He is also a really good cook- I love his home cooked meals.”
Of the proposal, Sandra remembers, “Every year we travel down to Mandurah to celebrate Easter with our family. Unbeknown to me, Dave had picked up the ring earlier that week and told my family his intentions when we arrived on the Good Friday. Early on Easter Saturday morning, we went for a walk along the beach. Dave pulled the ring out of his pocket and popped the question on the beach. I was so surprised! We then went back to the house and spent the day celebrating with the family. It was a very relaxed proposal, I’m still impressed that Dave managed to surprise me.”
The couple met at work! Sandra remembering, “We met many years ago at our local supermarket, Crabbs IGA in Kalamunda. We both worked a nightfill job while studying. Dave interviewed me for the nightfill job! We were friends for a couple of years before we started dating.”
