Is your wedding dress perhaps sitting around the house taking up space, but you just feel like it’s destined for one more wear? Then this may be the perfect compromise – Pastor Susan Scarcella and her husband Pastor Rocco Scarcella of Armadale Congregational Church have been helping a Bali Reverend and his his wife, Made Priana and Orin Nuryathi buy providing pre-loved wedding dresses to Orin’s small shop where she does hair, make up and flowers for weddings. Orin rents them out for the special day, but if the bride is poor, she lets her have it for just the cost of dry cleaning. If you’d like to donate your dress, shoot Sue an email, or head to their website for more info The very lovely photographer Elleni Toumpas is currently training to walk in the Oxfam Trailwalker (a 100km walk to be completed in 48 hours), with part of the challenge is to raise a minimum of $1400 for the Oxfam charity. Elleni has decided to use her skills as a wedding photographer to offer free (but with a $150 donation to the Oxfam cause) couple or engagement shoots. What a fantastic idea! With two dates available in both Melbourne and Brisbane, the nuts and bolts of the offer are available on her website.
