Karinne & Jason
Palm Beach is one of my favourite places to visit when I get to Sydney and the Palm Beach boat house is such a fantastic venue for a wedding- Karinne and Jason made the most of the relaxed atmosphere of their venues (and amazing food) for their beautiful wedding day captured by Beck Rocchi Photography.
Karinne tells their story. “We met through mutual friends Tyrone and Hally. We were always invited to the same parties and events. Jason pursued me for some time, however it wasn’t until a Justin Timberlake concert that we finally got together – tickets to the sexy back lounge (3 meters away from JT) was the clincher for me.”
Karinne remembers one of the “oops” moments of the day. “One of the funniest stories was my brother forgetting his suit pants – although was not so funny at the time. As the wedding was in Palm Beach and it was 1 hour to go until the ceremony kicked off, there was no time for him to go back to Sydney and get them. Lucky for us our MC was the same size and had some navy chinos that fit perfectly!”
Petal & Pod created the floral arrangements for the day.
Karinne wore a strapless gown by Pallas Couture with her bridesmaids in gowns by Zimmermann.
Lucinda Park, Palm Beach was chosen as the ceremony location. Karinne noting, “The ceremony was held at a little park in Palm Beach by the water – Lucinda Park. There was the cutest little boat ramp and row boats to the side of the part which added a perfect rustic feel.”
Karinne walked down the aisle to, “Close to you by The Carpenters – a song close to my late Nan’s heart.”
Robyn Pattison performed the ceremony.
Karinne remembers, “My favourite part of the day was the short time that Jason and I were away for photos – we really felt in the moment and got to share some beautiful time together. It was so much fun and also pretty romantic.”
Of their photographer, Karinne remarks, “Beck Rocchi was our photographer. She has a brilliant eye and was able to capture beautiful in the moment shots that we love! Beck was a true ‘fly on the wall’ photographer and produced some amazing journalistic style shots that we’ll forever treasure.”
The Boathouse, Palm Beach hosted the reception, Karinne remarking, “The reception was held at The Boathouse in Palm beach – this venue was everything we were looking for. It was rustic beach and was right on the water. There were beautiful lanterns, and flowers everywhere. We had a cocktail wedding so felt relaxed and more like a party than a formal wedding reception. The food was amazing and the staff were so attentive – we were never left short of a canape or glass of champagne.” The couple provided thongs for sore dancing feet!
Karinne remembers, “Walking into the reception was also so exciting – we walked into the reception to a Marvin Gaye song which immediately set the tone for the night!”
“The speeches were also so special, from our fathers to our best friends and each other – we got to hear some special words from the people we care about most.”
For their first dance, Karinne remembers, “Our first dance was to Al Green ‘Let’s stay together’ – it has been ‘our’ song since the beginning of our relationship so was the only choice for wedding song. Like the rest of the wedding, our first dance was fun and casual and we invited all of the guests to dance with us almost immediately.”
Congratulation Karinne and Jason! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Beck Rocchi Photography for today’s images and Petal & Pod for sending today’s wedding!
What a beautiful wedding!
I am in love with the brides hair and makeup and tried the link for Janelle McLauchlan but was not able to get through to her site on facebook. Is there another alternative to get in contact with her?
Hi Susie,
I did a search and found this, I think it might be her!
