I have been loving industrial wedding venues and especially when they have a glam decor twist and when this shoot landed on my desk, along with news of a fun new bridal event it seemed a fun way to end the year! Lovelocked, to be held on January 12th, 2014 at Brisbane Powerhouse is all about presenting great vendors in a big (fake!) wedding! There will be flower arrangements, cakes, bridal gowns and decor with all the trimmings complete with a (fake) marriage ceremony, a reception and a space to meet and greet with vendors.
So when the Lovelocked came together, they decided to style an industrial shoot with a glamorous edge, using some suppliers you’ll meet and see the work of at the event, while having plenty of fun at the same time! Concept designer Tessa of Polkadot Events tells ” The style of this shoot was to be contemporary with a glamorous, chic design . We wanted to showcase some of the styling ideas that will be available for brides and grooms to see on event day.” Taking inspiration from the graffiti, concrete and the exposed brick walls of the Powerhouse, the team added contemporary touches to create a glamorous industrial wedding inspiration shoot.
Starting with photographer Boots Photography , the team of today’s shoot was made up of cinematographer YellowBull Media, hair stylist Hare’s Hair, makeup artist The Beauty Case, cake designer The Flour Girl, gorgeous robe designer Homebodii, caterer Zen Catering, stylist and stationer Sunshine & Confetti, furniture hires The One Day House, florist Blossom & Twine, men’s tailor Wil Valor, bridal designer Darb Bridal Couture and models Anjee Jones, Tom Evans, Steph Jackson and Lucas Kreuger.
Wow,sweet moment!
This shoot is so inspiring! Loving the little touches of gold and the barrel cake table
These are very unique and beautiful ideas for a wedding. I love the pictures. Thanks for sharing.
I always love photographing weddings at Brisbane Powerhouse. I recall us talking on the day that its a blank canvas for creating many different styles of weddings and totally lends itself to the industrial glam look. I was happy to be apart of the Lovelocked Bridal Fair at the Powerhouse and be involved in this styled shoot. Deb
I absolutely love the wedding invitations. They are very unique. I really like the idea of the industrial wedding venues. There is so much that can be done to create a one of a kind event. I know there are some people that are traditionalists and like the church wedding but if they would look at some of the fabulous wedding pictures they might have a change of heart.
