Renee & Daniel
Nothing quite says glamour like a black tie wedding – that chic bow tie against a white shirt, the floor length gowns, the candle light and champagne flowing. It really is a cause for celebration and just the way Renee and Daniel, captured by gm photographics chose to celebrate their wedding day.
Of how they met, Renee tells the tale. “We went to high school together. We actually weren’t friends at school, but destiny brought us together 8 years later. Once we got together we knew straight away that we would be together forever as soul mates.”
The groom chose DSquared for his attire, while the groomsmen were clad in MJ Bale.
Renee chose a strapless gown from Pallas Couture with nude peeptoes from Christian Louboutin. She remarks “Being in my Pallas gown added to the magic- I honestly felt like a princess!!”
Renee’s bridesmaids wore floor length Lisa Brown gowns from La Luna Boutique.
Renee remembers, “I walked down the aisle to organ played ‘Canon in D Minor’ classical music – the whole ceremony was very traditional and classic.”
Form Over Function styled the floral arrangements and decor for the day. Renee remarking,
“Our styling was simple, chic elegance and our day was an absolute fairytale!!”
Renee and Daniel married at Cardinal Ceretti, St Patricks Estate Manly. Renee telling, “we chose Cardinal Ceretti as both my sisters were married there and I wanted to carry on the tradition. The interior of the church is stunning and the water views over the estate were breath taking.”
Of their photographer, Renee remarks, “Our photographer was Simon from gm photographics- what I loved about gm was I didn’t ever feel like they were there – our shots were so natural and I felt so calm the whole time. Simon was really great to work with, despite the weather being 33 degrees he still managed to keep his cool.”
Sergeants Mess was chosen for the reception celebrations. Renee remembering, “Sergeants Mess were so professional and I trusted them from the very beginning. I knew on the day I wouldn’t have to worry about a thing as we were in such good hands, as were our guests. The view from Sergeants Mess really is incredible – I couldn’t have asked for a better reception venue.”
Cakes By Grazielle created a three tier wedding cake with pleated detailing.
Form Over Function continued their styling through the reception. Tables filled with candlelight and white blooms and boxes filled with Ninas Chocolates as favors.
Renee wanted to add one extra special touch to her wedding decor .”With the help of Pinnacle Design Studio– I wanted to have two signs to add to our styling ‘a true love story never ends’ and ‘happiness is being married to your best friend’. Pinnacle made the prints on large paper and I bought the frames to insert them.”
For their first dance, Renee remembers, “We danced to ‘By your side’ by Sade. This is such a soft, romantic song and was something we both could relate to. I didn’t want our first dance to be a fancy choreographed number. It was all about us. Slow, intimate and a moment to cherish forever. The real dance moves came out on the dancefloor later on and I’m so glad we have those moments captured on film. So classic!”
Congratulations Renee and Daniel! Thank you for sharing your special day with us! Thank you also to gm photographics for sharing today’s wedding!
