Kelsey and Keith
When Kelsey and Keith’s Summer Handorf wedding (as captured by Luke Simon Photography) came to be, it was a little bit magic. The couple met at wok in Port Macquarie on work placements and now live in Sydney. Together, they returned to South Australia, where they grew up, to marry, with their family and friends. Choosing Bridgewater Mill– an icon that is so quintessentially Handorf to me, set the scene for their special day.
Keith wore a suit and black bow tie from Calibre.
Kelsey chose a gown with gold detailing by Johanna Johnson.
Lotus Flowers created the floral arrangements for the day.
Bridgewater Mill was chosen as the venue for the both the ceremony and reception.
Kelsey walked down the aisle to “Beyonce’s version of Kissing You”.
Deb Munroe performed the ceremony.
Of their photographer, Kelsey remembers, “We were very lucky to have Luke and Dave from Luke Simon Photography. Amazing, talented people who were so easy to work with and could have easily been part of the wedding guests. We didn’t stray far from the venue for photos, with Luke having met us there a few days before the wedding he had scouted some locations that worked just perfectly on the day. ” The bridesmaids wore blue gowns from Zimmermann and the groomsmen wore their own suits.
Kelsey remarks, “We made our own boxes of fortune cookies as favours “.
Of their first dance, Kelsey remembers, ” We danced to Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’ (Luke noting “Kesley and Keith busted out some great moves to one of my favourite tunes. Bridgewater Mill has an almost Colosseum-like feel to it with a lot of the guests being able to get a birds eye view from the surrounding balconies”)”.
Congratulations on your marriage Kelsey and Keith! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Luke Simon Photography for sharing today’s wedding with us!
It’s a bit hard for Bridgewater Mill to be quintessentially Hahndorf when it is in Bridgewater, and not Hahndorf at all!
True, but considering they are often referred to as the same region (and from my own experience, the Mill has that beautiful stonework and feeling I love about Hahndorf). Perhaps I should have said quintessentially Adelaide Hills!
Love the venues and Kelsey’s gown is to die for! Congratulations to the happy couple 🙂
