We’re off on a whirlwind trip this week in the Polkadot Travel Lounge, with the lovely Suzzelle from Travel Counsellors taking us from tranquil Bora Bora to the romance of Paris! Travel Counsellors is a unique service that allows you to choose your holiday in a relaxed and informal way, with access to a global network of all the hottest destinations at your fingertips!
Suzelle has provided her hot tips for our Polkadot honeymooners to ensure you make the most of your getaway together!
What is your favourite region?
French Polynesia, Bora Bora. It’s great for honeymooners and it offers something special for them, overwater bungalows, French food, Tahitian culture and an island adventure.

Top Resort Recommendation?
Le Taha’a Island Resort. It’s one resort on the island of Raiatea, a 15 minute scenic helicopter flight from Bora Bora. My recommendation is to mix up the island stays, 5 nights overwater bungalows on Bora Bora and 3 nights in a beach bungalow with a plunge pool in Le Taha’a.

Suggestions for great honeymoon activities?
It depends what you like to do! In Tahiti romantic dinners, cocktails, massages and swimming from your overwater bungalow, they also have shark and sting ray feeding and jet ski tours of the island.

The ideal location for a proposal?
Paris, the city of love! Tell your loved one you’re doing a Seine river tour of Paris, start with a romantic dinner on board seeing all the sights of Paris and as the boat approaches the Eiffel tower surprise them with your proposal.

Best kept secret honeymoon location?
The Philippines. There are 7107 islands in the Philippines, so over 7107 secret islands to discover!
