Hello everyone! 🙂

I would like to announce that our invitations are officially underway! YAY! On the outset, GP and I decided we’d try to DIY most of the stationery because, although we both loved the design of a professional invitation, we just couldn’t justify the expenditure. I set about designing the invitation, inserts and other stationery. However, we needed to sit these in something, and because I’m not very crafty, I decided I wouldn’t bother making pocketfolds for the invitation. GP and I both decided to buy them online from Cards and Pockets.  The website is American – so postage and handling was a wee bit excessive – but the invitations look AWESOME.

I’m not sure who reads the blog from my guest list, so I don’t want to put ALL the photos up. Our “monogram” was created by me using Adobe Photoshop software. GP came up with the idea of a “musical” monogram because we’re both HUGE musos. The envelope seal/sticker was bought through the awesome website, Vistaprint with a $30 voucher (so all up it cost us $AU15!). The red in the background is the pocketfold I was talking about before.

All up our invitations were a steal at about $6pp/invitation 🙂 Not too bad.

We’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of the final printouts, at which point we’ll assemble, envelope and send out to our guests.
