Carley & Joe
Carley and Joe had such a romantic Maleny wedding. It has a dreamy sense to it. The white blossoms, the sparkling chandeliers and the intensity of emotion that comes with a wedding day. Carley and Joe chose a beautiful Maleny venue for their wedding day and celebrated with their favourite people in a beautiful wedding. It’s always fun to see a wedding after we’ve seen the couple glow in their engagement photographs like Carley and Joe!)
Photographs are by Luke Going Photography who has an intensity and beauty to his captures. I’m looking forward to seeing where Luke goes with his photography!
Carley chose a Fiorenza gown paired with Wittner shoes and jewels from Hollywood Style.
Carley and Joe chose Weddings at Tiffanys as their wedding venue. Carley explains “Weddings at Tiffany’s is a stunning venue in Maleny with spectacular views of the sunshine coast hinterland. We had an intimate ceremony in their charming white chapel. Our reception was in a beautiful Queenslander that opens on to a large deck for guests to take advantage of the views. We had a wonderful experience working with Kelly and the entire Tiffany’s team. They are warm, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble!”
Carley loved, “Having our family involved, my Brother walked me down the aisle, my Sister was my maid of honour, Joe’s Brothers were groomsmen and our Aunty and Uncles do ceremony readings.”
Wedding Flowers in Maleny created the floral arrangements.
For her walk down the aisle, Carley chose, “‘Stuck on you’ by Meiko. We walked out of the chapel to ‘All I want is you’ by Barry Louis Polisar. Walking down the aisle I couldn’t hear anything or see anyone but Joe. The feeling / experience is beyond words (I have goosebumps thinking about it!)!!”
Father John Grace married Carley and Joe, Carley explaining, “The priest that married Joe’s parents and baptised Joe, and married us.”
Of their photographer, Carley says, “Luke is a very talented and creative photographer that is an absolute pleasure to work with! He has a real passion for photography and his own authentic style (which we love). Luke is a lovely, genuine and stress-free person – just who you want around on your wedding day. I have a feeling you’ll be seeing a lot of him!”
Carley recalls “I made all the stationery and bonbonnieres. It was hard work but it was rewarding as I felt involved in bringing our vision to life. I’m told the bonbonnieres were a great ice breaker! They had a photo of each guest and were on tables as guests entered the reception.”
There were plenty of sentimental touches at the wedding – something of great importance to Carley and Joe. Carley explains, “Joe’s Nan made our wedding cake – the chocolate recipe is an institution in the Griffin family! Tiffany’s recreated the entree I enjoyed in Prague when Joe proposed. All these sentimental touches were very special to Joe and I and really added to our day! We wanted a fun, casual elegance for our wedding day. We used lots of white flower varieties in eclectic glass bottles with soft lighting to create a fresh, textured and romantic atmosphere. Table cards, place cards and bonbonniere’s were all hand made. On the deck we had white leather sofas and ottomans with mirrored glass tables for guests to chill out. We had a fantastic band which was one of our favourite details because it created the fun party atmosphere we wanted.”
Of their first dance, Carley says “It was so much fun! The band (Five Letter Word) played ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ by Frank Sinatra. We started with a slow waltz to an acoustic version and then about half way through the rest of the band joined in and that’s when we really got our groove on. It was very organic and spontaneous since we hadn’t practiced at all and we had the best time!”
Congratulations on your marriage Carley and Joe! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! Thank you also to Luke Going Photography for sharing today’s images!
I absolutely love the first image of the bride, smiling so bright like that!
