For the final post on Polka Dot Bride before we take a little break (we have a few fun posts planned over the break including our traditional New Years Eve wedding countdown!) I wanted to take a look back at some of the most popular posts for 2012. A trip down memory lane if you will!
2012 has been such a big year on Polka Dot Bride, we have worked with some of the country’s most creative and passionate wedding vendors, showed off some of the most amazing, romantic engagement shoots, told the stories of hundreds of couples who have tied the knot and done it all with you by our sides!
Without further ado, twelve of the top posts of 2012 (in no particular order!)
Rin and Joe’s Handmade Melbourne Wedding kicks off your favourite posts of the year and I really think it was the Australian Women’s Weekly cake buffet that tipped it over the edge – I mean, who wouldn’t like a typewriter cake for their wedding?

Our post on Ombre Wedding Cakes had you licking your lips and even inspired a blog post or two!
The gorgeous feeling of Chloe and Sam’s Rustic Perth Wedding and the adorable star of a flower girl was one of your favourites for 2012.
Another of your favourite weddings was held in an abandoned paddock outside Melbourne. Steph and Nathan’s Handmade Wedding definitely makes the list with the surprise hula hoop performance and handmade seat cushions as guest favors!
Sarah Janks Bridal Couture 2013 Collection was a favourite with the elegant lace detailing and elbow length sleeves. So beautiful!
It was only February when we posted the literary themed wedding of Ali-Breeze and Chris’ Vintage Inspired Brisbane Wedding but it’s been a firm favourite all year (and how could it not with Ali-Breeze’s beautiful pink wedding gown?)
We certainly kicked off the year with a bang when we featured this Pink Peonies Wedding Inspiration shoot. I think the carpet of peonies was so blissful and really, I haven’t seen anything go crazier than that decadent pink ruffle cake!
I think what I love most about you Dotties, is that you love a range of styles- from classic, to rustic and everything in between. So I loved seeing Karina and David’s Elegant Melbourne Wedding on this list. A beautifully elegant wedding that’s for sure!
Lisa Ho has always been a firm favourite amongst Dotties, so it’s no surprise Lisa Ho Winter 2012 Bridal Collection made it into the top posts of 2012! Simple, yet elegant designs!
Next up is Carting it Around – Delicious Wedding Food Carts & Trucks I do sometimes think seeing food trucks off the road due to private functions was a bit of a shoot myself in the foot moment. But then I think of these amazing dinners being served at weddings and the happiness it gives me erases my disappointment at a taco-less night.
Tamar and Glen’s Eclectic Country Wedding was a loved post of yours with it’s beautiful country setting including the local community hall chosen for the reception! The bride even whittled wooden birds to top the wedding cake!
I do love a garden wedding and this ceremony venue was particularly beautiful! Our final recap of the year is a nod to Julie and Matt’s Beautiful Garden Wedding!
Tell me Dotties, which post was your favourite for the year? I’d love to hear!
Yay! Stoked to see our wedding on this list! Thanks guys & Merry Christmas. Karina & Dave
I love that bridal gown by Lisa Ho. Very couture for this year.
Wow this is beautiful. Where is it:)?
