William and Emily

William and I met whilst working together for an accounting firm in 2010 – I was the Receptionist, and he was the IT Administrator. We didn’t really speak much at first, apart from a casual “hello” or “goodbye” in the mornings and afternoons (or if I needed help with my broken computer!). But after a while, we got to talking and realised that we had a lot in common. What started out as a casual email every day turned into constant emailing and text messaging until all hours of the night!

Finally, Will asked me out to dinner and from that moment we have been inseparable. It didn’t take long to realise that we were in love with each other and that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.

Last year on Christmas Eve, we were getting ready to go to my sister’s house for a cocktail party. Once we were ready and about to leave Will randomly asked me to go and see if we had anything to drink… when I came back out into our living room there he was, standing in front of our Christmas tree holding a bunch of white peonies (my favourite flower). Firstly I just thought he was giving me the flowers so I gave him a kiss and cuddle and immediately went to put them in some water! He then said “wait” and grabbed my left hand – as soon as he started playing with my ring finger I knew what was about to happen and turned into a blubbering mess before he even had the chance to say anything!

He got down on one knee and proposed to me with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. It was the most amazing and memorable moment of my life! Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year, so that made it even more special!

We are now planning in the midst of planning our wedding, and cannot wait for our big day!
