Having blue flowers as part of your ceremony is a totally cute way of incorporating the ‘something blue’ into your wedding. As a lover of all things Mother Nature created, I would advise steering clear of any un-naturally blue coloured flowers They may have the colour, but there is just something off about them! You can find touches of natural blue in the markets at most times of year, but for a great variety, the end of winter and beginning of spring is best.

Ms Gingham says: A bit embarrassed to admit this but many moons ago, when I was searching for my wedding flowers, I asked my florist for blue roses. I just assumed that they came in blue! That was well before florists seemed to be doing anything with hydrangeas otherwise I know where my heart’s desire would have been!
