Ishara and Byron
We both love travelling and dancing and this is what brought us together in friendship which grew into love. We had a country themed wedding with lots of handmade decor, design your own cupcakes, lemonade stands, scrabble table centrepieces, rustic watering cans with flowers in them, horses, hay, lace and burlap, fun dances (including a rumba, salsa and bollywood first dance), speeches from the heart and love.
My engagement ring was custom made while my wedding band was from Tiffany and Co. Byron’s ring was custom made in Israel with the engraving “I have loved you with an ever lasting love” in Hebrew.
Our beautiful flowers were from Design a Bunch.
Our wedding took place in autumn in Canberra. The ceremony took place at St. Ninian’s Uniting Church, an 1800s stone chapel followed by a reception at Lanyon Homestead.
I made the buttonholes and bridesmaids bouquets myself.
Ms Gingham says: Loving the scrabble table numbers!
Ishara says: “We love travelling to help people and for our engagement party we had a donation well towards a kid’s centre in Sri Lanka that helped under-privileged kids. On our honeymoon, we visited the HelpKids Centre in Sri Lanka.”
Gorgeous wedding and couple, thanks for the feature!
