Clinique Skin Supplies for Men Dark Spot Corrector RRP $92
In stores August 12th
Clinique’s latest offering n their “Skin Supplies For Men” is this nifty little dark spot corrector. It fades the marks left from ingrown hairs, pimples and pigmentation from sunburn.
Fragrance free, it comes in a spray which is applied twice a day and contains lots of beneficial ingredients (with technical sounding long names like Ascorbyl Glucoside (a Vitamin C derivative) , Blackout Yeast Extract (which helps to brighten your skin), Dianella Ensifolia (reduces pigmentation) and Glucosamine and Salicylic Acid (which provide exfoliation benefits). The product is also designed to brighten your skin, reducing the grey “I’ve been up until midnight” look.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Men Body & Face RRP 250ml $7.40 400ml $9.99
Palmer’s has always been popular for its delicious scent and moisturising properties so I’m interested to see how this men’s body and face formula is received! It’s a two in one product, so it’s not going to give you pimples if you use it on your face but is also moisturising enough for your body. It’s designed to be fast absorbing and has a “fresh scent” (which I presume it’s not quite as melted chocolate as the general formula).
Milk Moisturising Shave Milk RRP $29.95
Milk (as in Klim spelled backwards! The founder Michael and Lindy Klim’s surname!) products are as gentle for your skin as the name suggests. Their moisturising shave milk comes in a stylish frosted bottle with silver type but the product itself is the real gem. It has menthol to cool your skin and then coconut oil to moisturise. It finishes off with peppermint gum oil for a fresh scent and feeling. The Milk range also includes a shave cream and moisturiser.
Crabtree & Evelyn West Indian Lime Body Wash $28
I think citrus smells for males are such a great choice – they smell fresh and not feminine at all. Crabtree & Evelyn’s brand new release West Indian Lime (also available in a cologne, shave cream and soap) smells of fresh limes, vetiver, nutmeg, ginger and coriander and is blended with deep base notes of woody musk. The product line is rich in Vitamin E (equaling smooth skin and a delicious scent).
Gameface Moisturiser by Triumph & Disaster $65
Born in New Zealand, the Triumph & Disaster brand uses indigenous ingredients and a science background to create really cool products. Their Gameface moisturiser contains jojoba extract, Horopito oil, Ponga fern (Cumungii), Vitamin E along with their signature scent to provide skin with a moisture boost that’s non oily.
