What a gorgeous time I had at One Fine Day. I definitely felt right at home as soon as I stepped into the atrium, which was flooded with glorious natural light and decorated with hanging plants.
But even before I got there, I knew it would be fabulous. Nadean, Marissa and Jess (the One Fine Day team) had promised a wedding fair that was about bringing the focus back onto ‘you’. “Whether you are a vendor, a bride, a groom, everyone has their own sense of style and expectations on what a wedding day involves,” they said. “Our main goal is to send you off into the big wide world happily hitched.” We couldn’t agree more here at Polka Dot Bride, and boy did they deliver!
There was truly something for everybody at One Fine Day. Divided up into sections, there was:
The Dressing Room – everything in here was truly inspiring… pretty easy when vendors included Savvy Brides, Kristi Bonnici and Two Birds Bridesmaids.
The Beauty Parlour – hosted make up, hair artists and bridal accessories. Lots of mirrors, lots of lights… very glamorous!
Man Land – two massive thumbs up for the One Fine Day team for looking after the grooms, and luring them in with a ping-pong table and free beer. There were some sharp looking suits in there by Pugnacious George, M.J. Bale and Essential Groom.
Style Market – lots of fun and creativity in here! With photographers, videographers, gift registries, stylists and music… brides and grooms flocked to this space and there were plenty of ideas flowing, and lots of planning and chatting going on.
Atrium – the main hub and what a hive of activity it was! Here my eyes were overwhelmed with beautiful and clever things. I spent lots of time checking out the Etsy stall, looked at some amazing invitations on the Stationery Wall, drooled over Oscar & Ruby’s stunning table displays, stopped to smell the flowers at the florist stalls (marvellous, they were!), and witnessed many couples sussing out potential celebrants, like Robyn Pattison and Dene Mason. There was such a great vibe in here – everybody was so excited!
There was also a fashion parade, featuring gorgeous gowns from Lisa Ho, Two Birds Bridesmaids, Moss and Spy, Mrs Press, Fleur Wood, Bridesmaids Only, Savvy Brides and Karen Willis Holmes. It was breathtaking! Take a look…
What I loved most about the day is how everything felt so fresh and quirky. All the little touches and finer details definitely didn’t go unnoticed, and it was obvious that couples were uplifted by the fact that this wasn’t any ordinary wedding fair – it was unique and it had character… just like them!
What do you think, Dotties? Did any of you attend? What inspired you? We’d love to hear your thoughts. I should also mention that the delightful Sun Studios in Alexandria, Sydney (where One Fine Day was held) is available for venue hire – you could let your imagination run wild in this space for your ceremony, reception or both!

Just such a fantastic day! The inspiration didn’t stop at the guests. As a vendor I was completely inspired by all the amazing friendly people who are raising the bar in the wedding industry. Motivation plus!
Oh wow. Looks so fabulous! Am so sad that I couldn’t make it! What a wonderfully inspiring day!
I loved One Fine Day! Fabulous vendors, catwalk show and everything was just so beautifully presented. A complete breath of fresh air for this bride. 🙂
