Good morning Dotties! Do you have a busy week planned? I can’t wait to get into it this week and am looking forward to sharing lots of goodies with you!
It’s our Monday morning tradition to look at some of the amazing, talented wedding vendors in Ms Polka Dot’s Directory
Our wedding directory is a force to be reckoned with! We’re filling it’s pages with Bridal Gowns, Photography, Cinematography, Celebrants and much much more! I love a good polka dot wedding, so take a peek and see which fantastic vendors are available for your wedding day!
This week’s vendor of the week is an incredible Melbourne wedding venue! Treasury Restaurant and Bar is located right in the heart of Melbourne city and has an architectural charm that many older buildings within the Victorian capital offer. A grand sweeping staircase and atrium overlook the historic Treasury floor. Able to accommodate both indoor wedding ceremonies, cocktail and sit down functions, Treasury Restaurant and Bar is a versatile, elegant space with all the grandeur of yesteryear. Right next door is The Sebel Hotel allowing you and your guests to stay overnight, and makes a great destination wedding for those flying from interstate.
We asked Nadia Olliver (Event and Wedding Manager) from Treasury Restaurant and Bar five questions in five minutes –
What is your favourite after five drink?
I just love a vanilla vodka, watermelon liqueur, fresh lime and lemonade. YUMMO! Always goes down well after a long day and night of pampering our bridal couples and bridesmaids. It’s fresh, a little flirty, and anything served in a martini glass is guaranteed to put me in a good mood!
Your favourite weekend getaway?
I’m an original Sydney-sider, since moving abroad from NZ, shhhhh.. don’t tell my Melbourne colleagues… so a visit back to Sydney to catch up with my friends and family, is always on my top list.
Favourite restaurant?
A home cooked meal is my favourite… Nothing better than trying to recreate some of the dishes I see being produced at Treasury. Good wine, company and of course a tasty dinner is a must have at my place. I’m still trying to perfect the roast baby spring chicken with sweet corn puree and spring peas Trevor Knight, Treasury’s chef whips up!
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Should I have a Sunday or Saturday morning without a wedding on that day, I head to Las Chicas in Balaclava to have their breakfast burrito. It is simply amazing, you must visit.
Your favourite wedding story?
What I like best about my role is the journey I’m allowed to be taken on with the bride and groom. From learning how they met, how he or she proposed (yes it does happen) to the finer event details and then seeing their magical wedding comes together. Each wedding is so different and special, beautiful couples with amazing stories.

February 2013 – we have received official notification that this venue will no longer be in operation and is now closed.
I was told by Treasury earlier this year when I enquired for our wedding that they were closing in October?
Hi LBB,
We just checked in with Treasury! They’ve told us they are currently in the process of renegotiating their lease and will not be advised of the outcome until mid August 2012, so fingers crossed it’s good news and weddings can be confirmed from then on!
Apologies that we were not aware of the situation earlier.
i hope there new lease comes through, this looks like a stunning and grand wedding venue with some fabulous photo opportunities from that balcony
I love the look of this restaurant and all those desserts are amazing
