Beauty On The Day – Keeping Up Appearances
Skin
Here are some tips to keep you looking your best on the big day:
- To keep your skin hydrated and makeup looking fresh, keep a facial mist handy throughout the day. No matter how warm or cool the weather is, a refreshing facial mist is a must-have for any bride. Jurlique have a great range of facial mists that cater for oily, dehydrated, normal and sensitive skins, so there is a facial mist to suit and care for every skin type.
- If you have an oily skin, make sure you have some blotting papers and pressed powder with you. Not only will they save you from shiny skin, they will ensure your makeup stays pristine throughout the day. If you’re super oily, opt for a specifically mattifying powder, which is a little more hardcore.
- From experience, the two things brides need constant touch ups for are cheeks and lips. Coincidently, these are two of the most important features on camera. Blush tends to fade as soon as one hour after application and definitely requires a touch up before any photos. For quick application of both lip colour and blush, opt for a multi purpose product. BECCA make a fabulous product called Lip & Cheek Creme which is a creamy textured compact, available in a range of flattering shades. Did I mention you can apply it with your fingers? Amazing.
Katerina’s Tip: Apply your cream blush a little more heavily than you would normally, then seal it off with a light dusting of finishing powder. This will set your foundation and blush to ensure they stay perfect for longer.
